I'm 39, going on 40, originally from England but now living in Greece. I met my husband whilst working abroad, after stating that I was never going to live permanently abroad! Never say never!!

I have been married to Sakis for 11 years and have 2 gorgeous kids - Stefanos who is 10, and Thalia who is 5.

Stefanos is football mad and plays for our local team - Aris. How I wish that he would choose a hobby that took place inside! I keep telling him to get really good so that he can play for either Greece or England and he can support his poor old parents later in life!! He also loves playing on his PSP, playstation and computer

I love receiving post! A bit of a foody, I enjoy trying new things from different places. I have a sweet tooth, especially for chocolate and unfortunately Greece doesnt have the best I'm afraid.

Everyone in our family is Simpsons mad! I get all the DVD's from England, but they are so behind. We have up to series 10, so any episodes from later series are VERY welcome! We do not get satellite over here very easily and we do not have it, so any little items or copies of recent episodes very welcome!

Music is something we enjoy as a family - although we do have very different tastes. I'm a bit of an 60's and 80's girl. Was very much into the Police and enjoy Sting too. No real favourites as such - I can listen to the Scorpions one minute, and change to soul or classical the next.

Reading is one of my favourite past times when I get the chance! I read anything from chic lit to autobiographies

Don't really have the time for going to the cinema - usually end up trying to catch up with films by DVD! Childrens films seem to get priority in our household! Recently got Shrek 3 to watch - so hoping too have time to watch it soon!

If i do manage to put a film on its normally late and I have fallen asleep before the end! I did enjoy Devil wears Prada, and the Da Vinci Code when I got round to watching them.

Travel is my main interest. I Work for a travel company so been lucky to see some of the world. Have been to Barbados, America, Egypt, Prague, Vienna, and just recently to Lapland to see the real Father Christmas - to name a few. The one thing we buy every new place we visit is a fridge magnet - soon I will have to buy a new fridge!

For me, Christmas has to be the best time of year. I love anything and everything to do with it!

We tend to buy a new ornament for the tree every year - this year it was a reindeer from Lapland. We tend to go back to England just before Christmas, so I stock up on things there - as there isnt the variety here. As most people live in appartment blocks, everyone puts lights on the balconies - so we always go round seeing who's done what!

In Greece, Easter is far more important than Christmas and this is also a special time for us. We go to Church at midnight with candles and at the stroke of midnight these are all lit from the main candle inside the church. Its very magical to see.

I am interested in learning about other customs and traditions from around the world.

The colours pink and red, but in bags, purses etc I like black too!
