I am 35 years old with three children under the age of six. My husband and I have been married for almost fourteen years. He works hard which allows me to care for our children at home. My oldest daughter is in Kindergarten, my middle son almost four and my littlest guy - he's almost two! They are so sweet and cute and I'm not saying so just because they're mine.
We have two cats and would have more if our landlord allowed. I love ALL animals. I believe God uses them to express His perfect love for us. As hard as I and others try - don't we always manage to hurt and disappoint the ones we love? Animals remind us of unconditional, fearless love
Pink is my favorite color - magenta especially. I like all colors, though. I look best in cool colors and often favor them most. My art style is eclectic with a lean towards vintage and victorian.
Cake with buttercream frosting is my favorite food. Wish I could live off it! This and Oreos - and they make them without trans fat now. I have a sweet tooth that gets me into trouble but thanks to a sleep aid my Dr prescribed my cravings have subsided. (miracles DO happen!)
If you want to send me goodies I like almost anything.
Well...my good friend Cindy got me into making ATC's and I'm having a blast. The size is perfect for a mother of three little kids and I manage to create an average of one card every day or two. I typically wait till the kids nap so I can craft without interruption...and I don't have to be Mommy/Referee/ Entertainer/ Snack Preparer. I'm not even all that entertaining. Really. I do give funny puppet shows though. I try and do one for the kids every day after devotions.
I've been scrapbooking since before my daughter was born - so seven years now. I also do just about every other craft you can imagine. Mom taught me to crochet when I was about ten and about the same time I began designing and hand sewing clothes for my dolls. I still have some of them! Orphan Annie, Ginny and one of my two Barbie dolls lived happy in doll world sporting the clothes I made. I didn't play with them much. Just dressed them - lol. Orphan Annie had the most adventures, actually. She was always running away from that darn orphanage. Daddy Warbucks was a funny looking bald guy (not real handsome, you know?) so she was adopted by a handsome Daddy (with Warbuck's money!) who rescued her from loneliness and peril. Annie even had blonde highlights added to her Raggedy Ann red.
I also love to paint - oils have beautiful effects but take forever to dry and I'm not patient. Acrylics and gouache are the best
Colored pencils, chalk and oil pastels are fun but watercolor doesn't excite me much - don't like to look at it and never figured out how to do it, either
Mom taught me to knit too but I didn't stick with it so she needs to show me again!
Altered books and clothing
Nicholas Sparks is amazing and Message in a Bottle made me cry which isn't easy to do I've read lots of true crime, biographies, general fiction and craft how-to's. I'm not a fan of harlequin-y books. They make me want to hurl.
Sting, Elijah Bosenbroek, Michael English, movie soundtracks, piano and other instrumental, Christian alternative...
Cold Case Files, Forensic shows, Medical programs, Lifetime, Frasier, House, Wife Swap and Trading Spouses, Funniest Home Videos, Keeping Up Appearances, Bourne Movies, ( I could go on forever...! )
There's really no need to stress about what you send me as long as it's something you put thought and effort into making. I work hard on what I make and send others and expect the same, that's all. Have fun, experiment, think 'outside the box' if it comes naturally - if not, that's okay too. Just enjoy creating and if your end result is something YOU'D enjoy receiving - chances are I will too. Let's have FUN!
