About Me
I am crafty person from way back. Sewed my own doll clothes. I learned to knit in the 4th grade. I've been quilting, sewing & scrapbooking lately. I had been a sales rep for an arts & crafts, Doing that gave me quite an accumulation of books & supplies. I've Tole painted, stenciled & cross stitched. You name it, I've tried it. I'm an avid gardener. But I don't like weeding! I like flowers and herbs. My favorite flower is the pink rose!

About Me
I was born in Canada but I grew up in Columbus, OH. Went to school there [OSU], got married there, had 3 kids there and moved to Delphos in 1983. Downsized our lifestyle & love the country life. I've had a variety of jobs over the years, permanent & part time jobs; outside sales, cashier, office manager, administrative assistant & graduated in June with my Associates in IT Networking. Right now I'm busy looking for a "real" job but teaching sewing part time @ Joann's & sewing doll clothes.
Favorite Music
I like a bit of everything. Country, Pop, Jazz, Contempory & Rock.
Favorite Books
Listened to all of Harry Potter. Si-Fi. I esp like historical type of books. Biblical times, Elizabethian, Egyptian etc. I've read a lot of Oprah's Picks. Anything Wayne Dyer & inspiring.
Favorite Movies
Everything Star Trek [just saw the last movie & loved it], James Bond & oldies. We watch movies on tv mostly when we do. Foreign films are great!
Favorite Crafts
Right now I'm really into scrapbooking, Knitting & Quilting. I like bright colors esp pink & lime green. Really like all shades of green. I'n not really into Christmas thems but I love Snowmen. I like Asian type fabric & prints, Amy Butler, Civil War prints & all Moda. like artsy creative kinds of things. Not so much the project as the challenge. I love to learn new techniques and apply them to what I'm working on. Just send me whatever colors you like! I'm working on knowing more about making ATC's & mini-zines.
Collections
I love Kawaii, postcards from all over, stickers, charms & kitchy stuff.
I love Halloween and the colors black, lime green & purple together. Love the "Day of the Dead" stuff. It's all so artisy looking.
I love to travel.
I collect postcards and "floatie" pens from all over.
I also have a Lady Bug Collection! Scarry!

Call for MAIL ART. Delphos Museum of Postal History having a Gala event and the DAAG will help to decorate the walls with free entries of 'mail art'. The theme is based on a positive spin of "Going Postal - What It's To You ?" Since the innovation of email, iphones, and electronic messages, the hand written letter seems to be a thing of the past , or is it ? The challenge is to create an artistic piece of whatever nostalgia, romantic, or informative mail has meant to you. Or it can focus on historical aspects of the postal service. Delphos, Ohio - where 'going postal' is a Good Thing! All media is accepted - as long as you can mail it. Sizes - range from standard post card size to 8.5 x 11 letter size. No jury, no fees, no returns. Provide your name, address, email and title of mail art. Send to : Mail Art c/o Judy Grone 6005 Defiance Trail Delphos, OH 45833 All submissions will be on exhibit, excluding offensive, racist, or discriminatory images. Deadline to receive Mail Art is Feb. 11th, 2012.
