About Me....

I am a stay at home mom homeschooling to 2 boys, ages 14 and 10. I like to do project with my kids then hang them up the projects and take pictures of all their work. They get a big kick out of seeing their stuff displayed and tell everyone who visit that new stuff is up for display.

I enjoy blogging and sharing my kids projects, recipes, my own crafts and daily life ups and downs. My blog is a mix of a little bit of everything I do as a mommy. It started out as a way for our family to get out of debt. Boy we had lots of it $30,000.00 worth and with persistence and perseverance we did it got out of it on Jan 2010.

I still blog about debt but now I also blog about other mommy stuff. It's a big weight off to not have that debt. I now try to post encouragement for myself and others on staying debt-free.

Mail Relate I mark my swap sent only after I have dropped off the parcel or letter at the post office.

I rate my received swap the day I pick them up from my post box. I visit my Post box several times a week.

I do recycle packing supplies this help the earth and is good for my wallet too.

I do post pictures of my crafts etc on flickr and my blog so if your my partner don't peek if you don't want to spoil the surprise.

My favorite crafting medium is paper, but I love to find new tutorials and projects online and give them a try.

My least favorite craft is sewing, probably because I can sew worth a lick. I have tried and still my skill in sewing are nil, zero.

My husband and I both enjoy playing role playing games. At any time we are playing one of the following World of War Craft, City of Heroes and other games like these. My husband is totally immersed into WOW now totally my doing since I was the one who suggested recently that we play again hehe.

Favorite Crafts

  • Paper crafts (cards, PC, note cards, stationery, and more

Comment: Thank you for the pretty card and note card, and the chatty note. We homeschool also but my daughter is 9th grade and attends a once weekly charter school program for her core classes. No testing is required for her but I did have her take the ACT Explore back in October which was optional and she did really well. Your kids like to bowl, so does my girly. She was in 3 leagues this year including a traveling competitive high school league. She LOVES to bowl, that is an understatement! LOL Our spring break falls next week, can't wait. Lots of fun planned!
Comment: Good luck with your move!
Response: Thanks the move went well, I am almost settled in now.

"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store? What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little more? (Dr. Seuss from "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas")

Yes presents, decorations, cookies and good food are a wonderful part of Christmas but we must never forget the true meaning of Christmas.

Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
