Wife, mom, sister, daughter, friend, Canadian, Christian, English teacher.
I have a husband. He's cute and kind of geeky. I have a little boy and 2 little girls. Really little. They're very cute. I like to listen to CBC and Radio 2. I read a lot - fiction or non.
I love poetry and quotes and have interests in languages and linguistics and etymology. I'm a letter writer. I like maps and traveling, which I wish I could do more often.
I like hiking, camping and being near water and trees. I like food and growing my own veggies and baking. Sweets will be my downfall one day; I will accept any and all. I drink coffee. And tea.
I like to craft and collage, but still feel like I'm very much a hack. One day that will change.. or not.
Lately: Stars, Sufijan Steven, A Northern Chorus, Simon & Garfunkle, Mamas and Papas, The Proclaimers, Holly Cole, Waterdeep, Be Good Tanyas, Starflyer 59, U2, Barenaked Ladies, Jonathan Inc., North Atlantic Explorers.
Current TV: Corner Gas, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Bones, The Daily Show, The Mercer Report.
Films: French Kiss - The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe - Casablanca - Best in Show - Love Actually.
Books - Recent and Old Time Favourites include: The Power of One - The Little Prince - Anything by Madeline L'Engle - What's So Amazing About Grace - The Remains of the Day - LOTR - Harry Potter - Pippi Longstocking - Fugitive Pieces - the poetry of Sue Sinclair.
*Collage and some scrapbooking - so all sorts of papers, ephemera, stickers, images, brads, charms, etc. are great.
*Knitting - esp. socks and scarves, though I've done a few sweaters too. I am particularly fond of bamboo needles. I'm beginning to branch out into smaller projects like wrist warmers and gloves. I'm also getting started with felting. Wish me luck.
*Poetry postcards - because who doesn't like to receive a poem in the mail?
*Envelope and card making. If you like homemade envies, I'm your girl!
*Softies and Dottee dolls: I've always been a bit afraid of sewing but these have bit a great way to ease myself into the world of needle and thread. And they can be just so cute!
These are things that I'm not keen on or in any need of. If I do get them, I'll likely pass them on.
Kitty Hair - mild allergies.
Non-stationary related Kawaii.
Green tea bags.
Mary Englbreit and related styles.
Halloween related items.
I've been amazed, impressed, humbled and inspired with the generousity of fellow swappers and mean to continue sharing the love!
So... I don't flake. I send things out on time and if I don't (by extenuating circumstances) I will ALWAYS let you know. Given that, I'm quite understanding when the tables are turned; just keep me posted.
Sometimes Canada Post is snappy, other times, not so much. Please allow some extra time for travel.
PLEASE let me know if something goes AWOL before rating and I'll do my best to fix the situation.
Be warned: I re-use packaging. :)

Thank you for the great letter about your 101 goals list! (My best guess was that it was a wish for this group, your letter didn't specify) Watch out for a reply about my list :)
