My Etsy Favorites

I love to do many kinds of paper art, scrapbooking and journaling. Jesus loves me & I am eternally grateful. I love being a wife, mom, Disneyland tour guide and former teacher.

Passions for Handel's Messiah, country music, zydeco, CS Lewis, e e cummings, Max Lucado, Gaudi, French Impressionist painters, The West Wing, Amazing Race, NYC, Broadway, France, Yosemite, Santa Barbara, art museums & history, the Tour de France. My favorite travels have been to France, New Zealand, Switzerland, Barcelona, London and the Cotswolds, Yosemite, Kauai and a Disney cruise anywhere!

I collect old and new Golden Books and pop up books for kids and adults, Disney and Disneyland items (the older the better!) Nativities and vintage 1930's, 40's & 50's Christmas ornaments & cards. (Maybe I'm stuck in the past!)

My happy place is the beach/ocean. Sitting in solitude on my verandah on a Disney cruise ship, enjoying the sea, clouds and sunshine is perfect!

One of my favorite things about my job is that I get to assist many precious families visiting Disneyland through the Make a Wish Foundation!

Comment: These are all really wonderful, but the vintage ones of the ladies selling flowers at the markets really speaks to me. Reminds me of the flower ladies in the Vanuatu markets when I lived there. Thank you!

Comment: What a delightfully fun envie you created for mailing the cool profile-related cards, Shirley! I love all your wonderful hand-colored sketches depicting New Year's Day customs. As a New Year's baby (born 3 min after midnight) they were particularly appropriate! I recognized the 12 grapes of Spain & the salt sprinkling of Turkey (where I once celebrated a memorable New Year). The pink underwear of Argentina was a guess as I knew about wearing red underwear in Italy. Had never heard of the curious custom of banging on doors with Christmas bread in Ireland or breaking plates against doors in Denmark! You may have inspired me to make a bucket list to spend a New Year's eve in each of those places! Thank you so much for your clever & tantalizing creativity. Really like your snail mail return address label & the "Look before you leap" sticker too - even though I'm more a leap before you look kind of gal!
Comment: Thanks for the resend! It arrived today and thanks for the PC's! Have a magnificent day! Happy swapping.....

You're welcome. I'll have to check out your Hulu recommendation. I've run out of shows to binge. I do need to catch up on my current shows that I've missed. I'm way behind on quite a few episodes. I don't know how I got so behind. : /
