I'm a crafty, community-oriented girl who needs an outlet.

I am a former slam poet, also a haiku poet and the urge to take up writing again is burning stronger in me every day (but where's the time?) I drum with a perfomance group that plays traditional music from Ghana. I model for artists professionally.

I plan too much and my time is stretched thin, but I still get lots done - just not as much as I'd like. :)

(for the afghan swaps I'm going for blues into purples, with maybe a bit of teal thrown in)

I love vibrant oranges, reds, golds and earthtones - warm autumn colours really, and burgundy.

Sometimes I try to play with paper crafts but they rarely work out the way I'd like.

I like most natural yarns, knitting notions and sweets. I drink copious amounts of tea, enjoy word puzzles and killer sudoku. I love to read, have a serious left-wing bent and love discovering independant music. I am fascinated with other cultures and hope to travel more someday. My kitchen is accented with ladybugs. I'm not fond of floral scents.
