Ahhhh, Winter. How I love looking at snow-scapes! There is such a feeling of peace when watching new snow fall. And to see new snow as yet unmarked by foot prints, tire tracks or anything else. Magical! And then to watch as animals and children discover this intriguing substance. Wonderful!

The turning point wherein the the time of light
will begin to increase over the time of darkness.

Hi, Winter solstice approaches and I find it a slower and slightly confining time but not necessarily in a bad way. I travel less in winter and don't deal well with cold but its a time to craft more, cook together, enjoy warm blankets and deep soothing colors like inky blackness in my yard. It is a time I stay closer to home, a time for dreaming, planning spring and creating a small light to match natures as it grows again.
