Hello. My name is Angela. I live in southeast Michigan. I am married to wonderful man going on 18 years this summer. We have 3 boys (17, 15, 12). My 17 year old can't wait to get his license. We want him to have a job first. He's looking and we're crossing our fingers. My 15 year old is mentally handicapped, non-verbal but otherwise healthy and happy. He loves to look at his picture books...especially Arthur by Marc Brown. He also loves Spongebob, Rugrats and Blue's Clues and Barney. He loves to get outside and swim or bounce his basketballs. I work part time at his school as a lunch aide in a different Severely Cognitively Impaired (SCI) classroom. I love it. My 12 year old likes to draw and create with clay. He plays the clarinet in the school band. He is involved in bowling and has been for 8 years. He loves to watch wrestling. He also likes to play basketball after school and with the neighbors.

My motto is "It could be worse". This pertains to pretty much everything I have experienced thus far in life. I have a couple of more I live by such as "Everything happens for a reason"...sometimes we just don't know the reason, and a popular one to live by " Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", I try to be my nice, fair and kind...Because that's what I would like in return.

I always send out my swap. If it is going to be late for some reason, then I will send a message to you. I try to create something my swap partner(s) will like and I always do my best. I love all crafts. I really like the ATC cards. I admire the effort people take to create.

I love to try a little of everything.

I like to paint things- canvas, clothing, bowling pins, wood cut-outs.... just about anything.

Lately I have been altering clothes for myself or kids. It's fun to take a thrift find and make it a one of a kind. I really love material and the different textures and colors and varying uses.

I have been tossing around ideas about making mixed media sculptures and such. I see possibility in just about everything. Have been even thinking about where to get some barbie dolls and other types of dolls(broken or not). Probably freecycle.

My husband thinks it's scary that I want to keep things for a future use that he would otherwise throw away. LOL Oh well.

Since I was very young my favorite color has been blue. As I have gotten older I have decided that I like most colors. I prefer bright, energetic and deep colors a little more than pastels usually but I do enjoy the full color spectrum.

Combos such as blue/orange, green/purple, black/pink are great. When I see the sun rise and the sky is pink and blue or when the sun sets and I see purple and orange, I grab whoever is near and tell them to look at how beautiful those colors are. Weird how we wouldn't wear those colors together normally but how wonderful they look together in nature makes me reconsider sometimes and go against the 'norm'. My boys do it all the time and they don't care if they have on all different colors. I do though...(sometimes)

Besides arts and crafts I am addicted to Sudoku puzzles. I do them everywhere. Absolutely hooked.

I also like to bowl with my dh and other family members and look forward to that outing every other week. I take my youngest every Saturday and he has higher average than me. LOL

We play a lot of games together. Cards like Phase 10 and Pinochle. Youngest is finally learning it. We play croquet in our backyard in the summer and swim. We play lots of games when we camp like Yahtzee, Battleship, Pente, Chess, Chinese Checkers, Mancala and other games.

I like to cook and create in the kitchen. It is nice when the family really enjoys something I've prepared.

I like to watch some sports...especially the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Lions and the Red Wings. My favorite is the Lions....ever since I was 8 and my Dad took me to watch them practice.(maybe because of the Honolulu Blue in their uniforms...LOL) I am always hopeful for some wins.

I like almost all types of music. Rock n Roll (old, classic, new), Pop (most anything playing on the top hits station) Jazz, Old and New Country...pretty much everything.

I love to read. I have a hard time putting down a good book and will take it with me when I go somewhere and pick it up when I have a couple of minutes.

The Harry Potter books were really written wonderfully. I read them a few times. I finished the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind and loved it. I also liked his Chainfire trilogy. I like to read fantasy, time travel, history, historical fiction, real life drama and science fiction.

I like to watch the DIY shows like B Original, Craft Lab, That's Clever and Creative Juice. They are good to get some neat ideas and inspiration.

I really like to watch Fringe on Fox and Chuck on NBC. Also like to watch HGTV, The Discovery Channel and The History Channel and The Food Network. Definitely enjoy the funny sitcoms as well. LOVE to LAUGH!!!

I have many likes and very few dislikes.-

I like turtles, frogs, lizards, elephants, giraffes, birds, bats, cats and dogs and most animals or creatures.

I like the sun, moon and stars.

I love peace signs and flowers lately.
I love crayola.

I like stationary * note cards * postcards * buttons * beads * charms * crocheted or knitted scarves - bright colors * odd game pieces and such that could be used in mixed media sculptures * magnets * photo clips* cool postage stamps * ribbon * fibers * tote bags * skulls * patches and appliques * recycling * t-shirts * quotes * poems * dream catchers * Halloween * pumpkins * fall * camping * abstract * Van Gogh * Picasso * stickers * key chains * wind chimes * Mosaic

My favorite characters are Spongebob, Garfield and Grumpy. I like the Muppets. I love Raggegy Andy. I like Tinkerbell too.

I rate within 3 days of receiving swap. I would appreciate the same.

Since joining this site I have had a lot of fun and really enjoyed myself. I have also learned that there are people out there who for some reason don't follow up on their commitments.
