Oops I accidently deleted what I had in this section!! I will try to remember all the imporant stuff!

My name is Victoria and I'm 27. I recently move to NJ but grew up in PA. I'm new to Swap Bot, found it from participating in Thing-a-Day. I think it's a really fun concept and can't wait to do many swaps!

For work I am a graphic artist, and love all that nerdy mac design stuff. Only I don't drive a vw with a apple symbol on it, although i would consider it.. ha

For fun I am very active. I love the outdoors and partipate in a wide variety of activites. These range from hiking, biking, kayaking, camping or backpacking, running, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and prob more but those are the basics!

Also - I LOVE arts and crafts. I am always creating something, see my craft section for details there.

Other then that I also am an animal lover (hoping to get a dog soon with my b/f). I also love nature and outdoors. Last but not least, i love to travel. Experiencing new cultures is facinating to me.

All Types, but lately : Ben Gibbard, Death Cab For Cutie, Bob Dylan, The Shins, The Format, Postal Service, At The Drive In, Anathallo, Bloc party, Bon Iver, Eisley, Jack Johnson, Modest Mouse, Simon and Garfunkel, OLP, Sublime, Streelight Manifesto, Iron and Wine, Sufjan Stevens. ALSO - older 90s alt rock, Live, Butthole Surfers, Presidents of the United States of America, Nirvana etc... and I LOVE Shakira. :)

I do a little of everything. Here are the things I've been focusing on lately.

Recycled plastic bags. With these I do 2 things. Either turn them into plarn, (plastic yarn) and crochet with it. Or, I make fused platic and sew it. I'm very focused on green living at the moment.

Crochet / Knit. Been crocheting a long time, just learned to knit. I only do this once in a while but usually make odd items, like, a cover for my heating pad, or a pillow for a friends birthday. I've never made clothes mostly cause I don't like to wear crochet. (except for a scarf once in a while of course)

Sew - Just got my sewing machine this year! boy I have been having fun with it. Still need to learn more techniques but so far so good. Using my machine to make liners for my bags and to sew my fused plastic.

Embroidery - This is one I havent given much time but love the results of.

Scapbooking - Dabble in this, I don't really go to town like serious scapbookers. I have a zillion photos so I usually just embellish standard photoalbums.

Woodcraft - My new venture! I am geting into wood carving and burning. I want to make wood sculptures.

Polymer Clay - Another fun one, I like to use it to make keychains.

Baking! - I bake often. I'm trying to do it less lately cause it's keeping me fat. Ha ha, but I love making breads, muffins, cupcakes, cookies etc... I find baking relaxing and usually an easy way to make friends, ha ha. I cook too but this is less of a hobby and more of, "what are we eating for dinner tonight..."

Jack Kerouac, Chuck Klosterman, and Jon Krakauer are some favs. I also read philosophy and theology texts. Being a good person and living a happy, loving and compassionate life are important to me. I gravitate towards Buddhism as it speaks in a way a understand the most.

Family Guy, The Office. I like things that make me laugh! Also - Animal planet.

I think a wish list is kinda greedy but I saw some other people had them and thought there is no harm in it, to give ideas. But I'd love original random items too! Even just a letter is always neat to get!

1. Your grocery bags!! Please if you have a supply of saved bags from shopping and need to get rid of some, I would love them. Plastic bags in colors other then white or yellow would be great too! Just make sure they are clean. ;-)

2. rub ons for scapbooking, or other scapbooking things.

3. Scraps of ribbon, at least a few inches long, love wide ribbons.

4. Things with owls on it. I collect owls.

5. plastic bags with cool words or logos.

6. Things bicycle related.

7. Stars, it is my favorite shape.

8. New music, or suggestions of new music.

9. New pen pals :)

10. interesting fabrics / or printed paper / felt

Misc: Hmm I prefer silver to gold, love all colors but not a fan of sparkles. I don't have kids and I'm not really into any cartoon characters or anything like that. An exception to that rule is classic pooh. ;-) I think crafts other people made are really cool. Crochet or knit patterns would have to be rated easy for me to do!!

I really appreciate ratings. Yes because I'm a newbie and need them, but I also love to get feedback on the swap!
