I enjoy a variety of activities, and think this is a neat way to interact with others!

I am a student of psychology, sociology, philosophy, and political sciences. I dabble in physics and biology, but can't honestly claim a good understanding of some of the more complicated theories.

I love reading above all things.

I consider myself to be both an open person and open-minded. As such, nudity or discussion of sex are both fine with me provided its done tastefully.

Symphony X is currently my favorite band.

Otherwise I listen to a variety of popular rock, but mostly hard rock.

I also play the flute, although I was never that great and lack of constant practice is evident in my playing, but I like playing to hear myself sometimes. I carry a harmonica in my backpack to entertain myself when I'm outside alone somewhere for whatever reason, although I would hesitate to claim that I actually "play" it, and certainly not well.

I enjoy Futurama, watch Family Guy when nobody is looking (I'm ashamed of it), and that's it. My partner and I have decided against owning a TV, so I mostly only watch dvds or, in the case of family guy, what's online.

I passionately love the Lord of the Rings movies, enjoy Troy more than I ought to, given its historical inaccuracies, and also like Amelie, Mirrormask, and Requiem for a Dream.

Favorite colors: Black, dark blue, and combinations of light and dark--so black combined with pale pink, or a deep indigo with a pale baby blue...the contrasts delight me.

Favorite person: my partner. It's amazing how wonderful love is.

I also love animals--all animals, especially, to quote my best friend, "anything that walks on four legs through a forest".

As I learn about this site and potential swaps, I'll add what seems relevant.
