Swap categories: Themed  Miscellaneous  Artist Trading Card (ATC)
Number of people in swap:13
Location:Other
Type:None
Last day to signup/drop:April 15, 2008
Date items must be sent by:April 30, 2008
Number of swap partners:2
Description:

No matter your views on the conflict situation currently underway, our troops need our support.

With this international swap you will be making 2 ATC's for 2 partners for a total of 4 ATC's.

Now, the catch is this... once you have your swapped ATC's you will turn around and send them to the troops. Need an address or two? Contact me and I will get them for you. I only have availability of addresses for American troops. Also, because there are some seriously deranged and mean people, if you get a card that is not supportive of the troops DO NOT SEND IT ON!

No one will be denied participation in this swap as I feel it is important to troops worldwide. However, if you are a newbie e-mail first and make sure you have a complete profile done.

Have fun with one!

I've never made an atc (any good sites to learn from?) but I had to sign up for this one. I love the US military, I guess I have to since my husband is in it :D LOL And I send mail to them a couple times a week so I won't need an address to send to.

What an awesome idea!! Our troops need our support and prayers so very very much!! I'm currently sponsoring a young man (and his unit) stationed in Afghanistan via Soldiers' Angels. I've been writing and sending packages to him for a year now and hope he'll be going home soon...safely and healthy!

I also have some names/addresses available if anyone needs them.

Blessings! wf

My son is serving in Kosovo, so I will be forwarding my received ATCs to his group. Thank you for hosting this wonderful swap. What a great idea!

wickedfaerie, That is so awsome of you to give of yourself like that. You are really making a difference in someone's life. I think maybe your name should be nicefaerie instead of wickedfaerie. I am just kidding. But I really am impressed by your giving heart. I think swapbot is good for me. It forces me to think about other people most of the time, instead of myself. I am a disabled United States veteran so I know what a different a package can make. It makes your heart jump at mail call.

SAw this the other day what a great idea. I am sending writing to a uk serviceman, and I know parcels and letters are very much a joy to get and a bit of home comfort. I spotted him in the national newspaper last year. there was a big article where a family member had had their parcel returned because it was 2 grams over the sending limit, the parcel was to a serviceman, i noted the address and sent a parcel just a general one to him to share with those around him. As it turned out he gets plenty of post so pasted it all over to his mate who recieves little post. I have since then been sending general letters of encouragement and general uk news and gifts, he is able to write back which is great to know it arrived safely and that he is ok. If this inspires more to join this swap and support the troops then it was worth me typing it and you reading it!! i have pm the host of this swap direct, hope she doesn't mind me adding this supportive chat.. all the best to everyone

I am not sure what my atc's should look like to support our troops. Will any light-hearted creation do? Also, please send me an address of someone who needs mail. I have been wanting to do this since last summer when I met a vet who served in Irag.
