I am 39 years old. Married to Dave. Mother to Nicole, Jake, Kyrsten, and Kady. I am an emergency medical technician with our local fire department. My real paying job is working as a caregiver/med-aide at a nursing home. I work graveyard shift.

I really enjoy listening to country music. I will listen to soft rock on occassion. I listen to and sing loudly to opera if I have the kids trapped in the car and they have no means of escape. It is really funny!

I enjoy reading murder mysteries. Sometimes I will read a good smut, ummmm romance book, but not often. True crime is also interesting as long as I assure my husband that I am NOT looking for new ideas.

Since I am female I REALLY enjoy "chick flicks". Probably one of my favorites is Sabrina. But my all time favorite move is not a "chick flick" it is Muppet Treasure Island. LOVED IT.

I love to watch crime shows. CSI, Law and Order, Cops, The Closer, Psychic Detectives, Forensic Files, and that sort of show. I also watch medical shows to see what I would do in certain situations. Trauma Life in the ER, Code Blue, and I Shouldn't be Alive. Since I am a fan of the paranormal I enjoy Ghost Hunters, The Haunted, and physic law enforcement shows.

I am a quilter. I also sew clothing for kids. I knit, crochet, cross stitch, paint, and do scrapbooking and card making. I do not sit still very often and always have something in my hands that I am working on. I blame my mom for crafting addiction! She is a fantastic crafter who made sure all of us kids had something to keep us busy when we were growing up.

I have my wonderful hubby, 4 kids (listed above), a son-in-law, 2 hunting dogs, and a new grandbaby. The grandbaby was diagnosed in-utero with 2 severe heart conditions which are fatal if not treated. He was born Nov. 13th, 2007. We just brought him home from the hospital Dec. 5th, 2007! He has 2 more open heart surgeries scheduled. Hopefully that will sustain him well enough to not need a full heart transplant. Cross your fingers!UPDATE the baby just had his second open heart surgery on April 15th. He did very well. He has some left side neurological issues right now but the docs think it will go away. And they also stated that as of right now he will need a transplant when he is 15 or 20 years old. sigh. But he is looking good and still full of smiles and love for his grandma! He also has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and he had a stroke after the second surgery.

Well, not many things fall into this catagory. I am always so thankful of things. Not real big on chocolate but hubby loves it. I do not like florescent colors except lime green with hot pink. I do not like to get religion packed things or e-mails. One thing I have come across now with Swap-Bot is dishonest people. I really do not like people who do not send. Also, the coordinators who keep letting them join leave me questioning their sanity. I also cannot tolerate people who act stupid. I do not really care for Hello Kitty or Kawaii (I am not a cutsie kind of gal).

I like anything crafty. I enjoy smell good things. I love hot pink. Candles should be fruity smelling or vanilla. I like salty foods. I like anything related to cooking. I love to read murder mystery books. I am awestruck with the paranormal. I like geneaology. I enjoy surfing the net for cool sites. I enjoy reading about paganism, wicca, and the gods and goddesses. I like caring for plants. I like to watch TV and crochet or knit. I enjoy folding laundry (wierd, I know). And above all, I enjoy helping people.

This is something I have hated from the begining of my swapping days here. When you get a swap from someone and they conform to the requirements (even if their stuff looks like crap) give them a 5. If they send an extra give a heart. If they send but do not conform to the swap guidelines give a 3. If they do not send give a 1. But the main thing is this * IF YOUR PARTNER SENDS EXTRAS GIVE A HEART!!!* I have spent a ton of money on extras and so has my daughter. We have noticed that sometimes we do not get hearts even though we go above and beyond the requirements of the swap. Give hearts folks! It's not that hard! Remember you are not rating the artistic ability of the swappers.
