This is international and open to newbies. Please no flakers though. This swap is open to anyone no matter what your opinions on war are but rather the support of a military member.

This is awesome! I'll sign up as soon as I have a free spot!

My husband is preparing to deploy, so this swap is dually important to me.

I have had my dad, brother, friend, and best friend deploy at one time or another. They said it was kind of lonely. So me doing this makes me feel like I'm doing something & puts a smile on a solider's face.

Count me in!

I'd like to particpate. I know lots of people over there, but I'd like to send something to someone that's perhaps not expecting it.

I will need the name of a soldier--I know anyone currently deployed. This will be a very nice lesson for my daughters.

I, too, will need a soldier to send to. Gotta support our troops!! I can't wait for this swap. Great idea - thanks for hosting this!

It is truly a shame that not a lot of people are joining in. Our freedom is not free. [smh]

ANYWAYS! I was looking around online & I found [again] http://www.anysoldier.com/. Just throwing it out there for anyone that needs a solider or marine, navy... You get the picture.

You guys can start early. I think I'm going to :)

You can get a Military box at the local post office or order them online through USPS website. The boxes are free. There are 2 sizes; a smaller one that is shipped for $8 something and a larger one that can be shipped for $10 something. I think it's 8.95 and 10.95. These boxes can be as heavy as you want, the postage is a set price. Just thought I'd share.

This is a great swap. My family has adopted a soldier through soldiersangels.com.

It's a good idea to not send chocolate or other goodies that melt and can drip out onto the other items possibly ruining them like paper items, etc.

Great swap!! I'm already sending stuff for my brother and others in his group, so now I just have to take pics:) Thanx all for supporting our troop, it's because of them we have the freedom we have today:)

I'd like to draw attention to another site with a similar mission to anysoldier.org - www.amillionthanks.org . They collect and distribute cards for current and past members of the military to thank them for their service.

What a wonderful idea! Thanks for doing this. I will need an address for shipping though, as I currently know no one over there. I cant wait!!
