Please contact me if there is a problem with a swap and I will contact you if there is a problem with yours. We can usually fix it together. Also, please follow thru and RATE! I sent a jewelry swap out of country and it didn't make it there so I resent and even tho she e'd me that she'd gotten it she didn't change her rating :( The whole thing cost me $35 and I got a bad rating to boot
I'm a 48-yr-old disabled (former auditor) Mom of 6-his, mine & ours which patters the house with 10 little grands. My baby boy (25) has been in the military for 6 years-first Navy and now Army. He recenlty had a son and then headed off to Iraq when Hunter was 1 month old. I got to go to Alaska and see him off. My husband and I have been married 26 years and live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in WA state. I'm orginally from NC and hopped on a Trailways bus 30 years ago and came to this town of 3000 and never left. I live in the forest, by the river with eagles soaring, at the base of a glacier and in 45 minutes can drive down to the bay and go cruising on our 28' boat. The best of both worlds (and 1.5 hrs to Seattle)!
I've been swapping POSTCARDS at Yahoo Groups for years-I like to receive New MODERN 4x6 postcards & some faves are Autumn, historic, map, cap, flag, LL, stamp pic on pc, scenic, People famous or not, B&W, military, Place of Worship, courthouse, govenor mansion, gravesite/cemetary, wildlife, turtles, birds, penguin, pig, mice, wildflowers, road signs, license plate, quilt, snow/fog/ice, mailboxes, rustic/rural, odd trees, desert, rocks, barn, crop, clock, mining/minerals, rocks, cave, ship, song, fence, Autumn, odd and unusal, Native American, Africa, Yukon, simplistic-a door, a window & such. DO NOT like cityview, artcards, freecards, multiviews and cutsey sayings for examople: missing you, last payment and it's mine, hot hunks, etc. PREFER TO trade up to 5 cards at once and RECEIVE IN ENVELOPE.
For other swaps 'No caffeine nor chocloate please' (white chocolate good) and Christian is okay.
Fave colors are burgandy, blue (of all shades), red, pink and most other colors BUT NOT green, purple, orange or gray.
I like Country music and mellow music like Enya, Carlos Nakai, Estaban, Earl Klugh. Also Celtic (just music-no vocal) and upbeat Christian music.
~LOVE stationery, notecards, tablets of all sizes, stickees, stickers, address labels and a GOOD fine point pen. ~LOVE Earrings, earrings, earrings and bracelets-small wrist. 12" necklaces are okay too. (No $ store jewelry please. I love the $ store but not for jewelry-cheap made and look like we are trying to play dress-up) I LIke gold and silver and the colors burgandy, blue (all shades), pink, red and most colors but NOT green gray, orange and purple. I DO like stones-gems-minerals, such as, ruby, garnet, mother-of-pearl and the like, as well as, beads-no plastic, pearls, diamond :). Used jewelry is no problem as long as in good shape. ~Love windchimes-any theme but country/rustic is fave (no $ store please) ~Wreaths of any size ~Charming Tails (mice) ~Angels-any nationality and size ~Maps from anywhere! ~Squished pennies ~4x6 decorated card with a Prayer or anything uplifting written on it ~Dream Catchers
My Favorite Hobby is Trading! Any of the above but my Fave is postcards (have 10,000), souvenir spoons and magnets with state or country name on them, thimbles with nice pics, state or country names, historic places or other geographic interests and ALSO collect squished pennies (You know the ones where you put .50 in and then a penny and it squishes the souvenir image onto the penny)
*Other interests include making earrings (still a novice-haven't gotten the findings for necklaces & bracelets figured out yet), reading novels & biographies, cross-stitch & gardening. On TV right now I'm watching Dancing With the Stars, 2 and a Half Men, ER, Desperate Housewives, Earl, The View sometimes, Dr. Phil and Oprah when something interesting, otherwise hubby usually has an educational show on and I'm reading.
Am looking for PENCILS with any geographic area name on them for my SISTER who has CANCER and is a pencil collector

I just filled out your postcard and then realized you wanted it in an envelope. So sorry! I'll catch you next time for sure :) estromberg
