Back in 2011-2012, I used to host this swap series and I'd love to bring it back. So, if there's interest, it's finally time for round 11!

For this swap, you will write a piece of micro-fiction (aim for 250-300 words) and send it to one partner in any postal mail form of your choosing (postcard, letter, note card, typed, ...).

What will your micro-fiction piece be about? That's where the MYSTERY comes in!

I have three lists of nine words. The first list is objects (like cookie or candle). The second list is people (like uncle or bride). The third list is locations (like desert or post office). If you sign up for this swap, you must post in the swap comments a three digit number (using digits 1-9, no zeros). So, for example, if you pick 783 then the 7 corresponds to the 7th item on the object list, the 8 corresponds to the 8th item on the people list, and the 3 corresponds to the 3rd item on the location list.

On the day I assign partners for this swap, I will email or PM you the three mystery words your micro-fiction piece needs to be about! I will also include the three mystery words your partner's piece needs to be about to aid you in rating your partner. :)

To make it a mystery for me too, I will use a random number generator to see which words I get!

FOR A FIVE RATING: Send one 250-300 (ish) word fiction piece written by you and based on your assigned three mystery words to one partner.

THE DETAILS: All swappers are welcome. 4.97 rating please, PM me if you have a compelling reason to be below that level. If you have been rated on fewer than 10 swaps, you must have a well filled out profile.

Oh this would totally be perfect for the NaNoWriMo group to get in the writing headspace. I’m in! My numbers are 382.

If the send-by date gets pushed out by a few days, this swap could count as NaNo words.

I'm in either way. :)

I edited the swap dates to be a bit later for those of you doing NaNoWriMo! I unfortunately don't have the time for it this year, with a baby at home.

I keep forgetting my words, so posting them here which is easier to find than sorting through PMs. Two hours until midnight in Texas and the start of NaNo!

notebook, garbage man, hotel.

An envelope is dropped in the box for a.m. pickup out to my partner. Enjoy!
