I am 24 years old, graduated from college two years ago, and work for a non-profit in Oregon. I am an avid reader and hiker (backpacking, especially) and love doing mail exchange in all its shapes and forms. I'm particularly interested in paper products of all kinds - swapping cards, letters, postcards, stationery, nice paper, etc...
In the past year I have:
-Completed a thru-hike of the 2,175 mile Appalachian Trail.
-Moved from Michigan to Oregon.
-Begun living with my boyfriend in a great apartment.
-Finally acquired a job I LOVE.
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Engel Sind Schwarz und Weiss, Der Vorleser, The Solace of Leaving Early, A Tale of Two Cities, Ella Minnow Pea, The Once and Future King, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 1001 Arabian Nights
Origami, anything made with paper, note cards, geometric patterns, collage, zentangles.
Iron Chef, America's Next Top Model, Friends, Seinfeld
ducks, Noah's ark, german, dictionaries, stationery, postcards, dessert, paper napkins, hiking and backpacking, word puzzles and games, the number 4, cats, plants, Girl Scouts, fencing, books, The Beatles, German beer coasters, construction paper, embroidery floss, e e cummings, jigsaw puzzles, black tea
I love yellow - that's number 1 for me!
I like pink and red - I think pink goes great with a nice sunny yellow!
Number three is green - all shades are nice.
Blue and orange are okay - I could take them or leave them.
I don't care too much for purple.
Black, white, metallic colors, brown - These are all good accent colors and I love them when they're well-used!
-Hello Kitty, kawaii, Disney, Diddl, any other recognizable characters (though I do like cute, if it's unique rather than marketing!)
-Vintage or Victorian ephemera
-Gothic stuff
-Herbal or green tea; really I just like black, red or chai teas - the good stuff!
Just got back from an amazing vacation in the Wallowa Mountains in eastern Oregon. We spent nine days hiking and climbing mountains and it was really, really beautiful.
Climbed Mt. St. Helens on 9/8! AMAZING!
Did Cooper Spur this past weekend - very beautiful trail with great views of Mt. Hood while being ON Mt. Hood!
Climbed South Sister on 9/28. Only my second climb above 10,000 feet!
I love postcrossing and sendsomething.net. Used to love postcardx too, but it's gotten a little lost. Excited to have found this!
I'm always looking for fun and unique paper items, stickers, and embellishments for making cards!
I love making note cards and postcards and love to see homemade cards from others!
Any postcard with a map - especially one that isn't easy to come by (like a historical map or a map of a small town, as opposed to a state map or something)
I like stationery that I can use for sending mail to penpals.
