Description:

Swap postcards design showing UNESCO and or World Heritage.

Postcards written and stamped.

I will ask for China Post to hand cancel the very clear postmark on the postcards. Welcome other partners to do the same, but it is not the mandatory requirement, just fun of it.

The postcard may not always have to say "UNESCO", just the design and picture is suitable to UNESCO or WHS is OK.

PS:

On 1st Oct. 2009 is China 60th National Day, the Post Office has the special memorial cancelltion.

I can not wait till the deadline and send out to all the partners the UNESCO postcards,

In SWAP, please each partner also send to me one postcard,

Does anyone know where I can buy these postcards. I would love to get some. Thanks in advance. I am watching.

I'd like to know this, too. Please let us know, especially if available online.

I think they're available at places that are actually UNESCO WHS. I can buy plenty in my city (St. Petersburg, Russia).

ButterflyDreams 09/27/2009 #

Please excuse my ignorance but what is UNESCO? I'm not familiar with it.

Here is the list: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list

It's long, as there are hundreds of places on it. You do not have to buy any sort of special UNESCO site postcards-- just postcards of any of these places that are on the list.

If I understand it, the postcards do not have to say UNESCO, just for example, Grand Canyon or Yosemite National Park Thanks Ilove2smile for your help. I have not entered into other swaps because I didn't know the rules. Thanks in advance for answering. Linda

You're welcome. Yes, I have actually never seen any postcards that specifically say "UNESCO" on them, though I suppose they may be out there somewhere...

I have one post card of Mammoth Cave, Ky. that at the park entrance on the sign it says "A World Heritage Site" but does not specifically say UNESCO.
