About Me

I'll be on holiday April 9-15

Hi! I'm a 22 year old woman originally from the US and now happily living with my Aussie husband in Australia. I hope to become an Australian citizen in 2011 (when the visas and permissions say I can).

I am an office supplies addict, and I work from home as a freelance writer, book reviewer, author promotions, and whatever other work I can pick up here and there. :) I hope to eventually publish a novel. I write in many genres, but my latest favourite is women's fiction.

I'm a pretty easy going woman and I love getting and sending mail. :)

Top of My List...

I collect snowglobes, but small souvenir ones. They fit in the palm of your hand and are a few inches high (not quite tall enough to be as tall/long as my ring finger).

*If you can find me one from where you are (city, state or country), please PM me! I love them so much and want to collect ones from around the world.

So far I have:

~Australia ~New Zealand ~Alaska ~San Francisco, CA

Likes/Dislikes

Likes:

Colours - Blue, Green, Purple, Red

Food - Chocolate, Hard Candy, Fruit Flavour Hard/Soft Candy, Other Sweets/Savouries (I am willing to try pretty much anything once.), chocolate covered pretzels (my absolute fav)

Odds and Ends - Pens, stickers, stationary, postcards, snow globes (small city/country ones), books, anything that is special to you

Dislikes:

Colours - Pink, Orange, Yellow

Foods - Sour candies, jelly beans, alcohol/fruit chocolate, tea (won't make it through quarantine)

Odds and Ends - Things in bad condition, tote/shopping bags (smaller ones are fine), makeup/lotion/body spray (I have really sensitive skin)

My Husband

If you would like to do something nice for my husband (because he's a great guy and saved my life), here is a list of his likes:

  • Dark chocolate
  • Computer-related stuff (He's an IT guy)
  • Mythbusters
  • Coffee
  • Bookstore gift vouchers (Borders, Amazon)
  • Guinness
  • Colours: Blue and green
  • Any books/pictures/DVD docos/etc on mysterious things like UFOs, spirituality, the pyramids (around the world), secret societies, etc

Favorite Books

I read a lot of things as a reviewer, but my favourites are women's fiction books and fantasy. I'm getting into science fiction as well, and I've fallen in love with the Ender series (Orson Scott Card) and Greg Bear.

My Angels!

Comment: Thank you for the fun info! Where are the pyramids in Asia? Are you thinking Egypt? I love Mongolian hot pot. My students in Inner Mongolia got me hooked on it.
Response: I'm glad you liked it. :) Nope, not thinking Egypt - there are actually quite a few pyramids in Asia. There are over 100 pyramids in China, including one that's bigger than the Great Pyramid. Mmmm, Mongolian. Hehe.

Comment: Thanks so much for your lovely story. I think there''s something to be said for the human spirit that even in the most grave (excuse the terrible pun lol) situations we find a way to survive it (also a pun...I am a nerd lol). I also wrote about darker things for this assignment, so you're not alone.
Response: I'm glad I'm not the only one who wrote about 'less than sunny' things. :) I'm very glad you liked it.

I'm just writing you a note to let you know that I'm hosting an email swap over at WickedSwaps. It's an email question and answer swap that's probably a bit too risque for Swap-Bot's general population. You can check it out here:
