I'm a weird kid and I really enjoy finding things out about other people. (okay, 25 isn't a kid, but that's how I like to say it. so pllllbbbttt to you). I don't like to list things that I want, like, or dislike in swaps b/c it ruins the randomness for me. Plus it seems kinda jerky.
industrial, metal, trip-hop, weird, folk, alt rock, j-rock, funny, and pretty much anything else. excluding most country and rap, w/ occasional exceptions. the industrial/techno is my favorite, though.
horror flicks, especially really old ones. they're good when they're bad, they're better when they're terrible, they're best when they're actually good. and zombies always add some points. i also like anything that makes me laugh, or think. romantic comedies not so much, w/ (as usual) a few exceptions like The Truth About Cats and Dogs, etc. Anything with Vincent Price. Pretentious independent films like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Garden State.
Kids movies that are really for adults instead of kids. Examples - Labyrinth; Dark Crystal; Princess Bride; Pan's Labyrinth; Legend; Willow; the Pirates movies
Mythbusters, Ghosthunters, Dirty Jobs, Dead Like Me, Nick at Night, Discovery Channel, SciFi Channel, reality shows in which someone's wardrobe or someone's house gets a makeover, Cartoons (Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Invader Zim, Powerpuff Girls, Rocko's Modern Life, Recess, Arthur, Dexter's Lab)
I cross-stitch nearly anything. I only used dmc floss unless it's kit and I could really care less what brand of cloth I use. I prefer higher counts, though b/c 14 count is awful obvious when a project is done.
Although I am teaching my roommate and some friends to Xstitch right now and you can never have too many beginnner kits lying around for such situations.
I don't scrapbook, but like scrapbooking supplies anyway for random other things. I can find a use for nearly any craft thingy I get. And if not, I can re-swap it.
I love, love, love buttons. All buttons. Love them.
Colors: Black and white; dark rich reds and greens; pale happy sunshiny yellow; i don't like pink and orange
snacks and drinks: I love tea a LOT, however I can't have caffeine for medical reasons which tends to be a problem in swaps. I've yet to meet an herbal tea I didn't like, though. I do actually adore coffee, but only in decaf and that really doesn't leave much room for variety. All chocolate is good, whether it be in drink or treat form. Sour gummy candies (like sour patch kids) are my favorite) and weird hippy things like ginger candy. Snacks are fun to experiment with.
My all time favorite books are: 'Biting the Sun; by Tanith Lee; anything by Neil Gaiman; 'I Will Fear No Evil' by Robert Heinlein; H.P. Lovecraft; Clive Barker; 'Seventh Son' and sequels by Orson Scott Card; The Incarnations Series by Piers Anthony; Memoirs of a Geisha; Geisha: A Life; Dave Barry; Roald Dahl; 'The Ethical Slut'; absolutely anything at all by Terry Pratchett; the robot series by Isaac Asimov;
There are so more but I'm such a big reader that there is no way I will ever cover it all here. If you like it, I will read it. Even if it's romance. Except I can't really handle westerns... not my bag.
