That "1" was a user going on a down-rating binge for no good reason on very old swaps. Questionable Swapper has her own thread.

Hi Caly! Thanks for finding me on here! I sooo know what you mean about this being a time-whirlpool that really sucks you down into it! I'm a victim of that, myself. I got a little carried away in my first month (which I'm still in the middle of, lol.) But it's such fun, how can I say no? :-)

Anyway, I'm just waiting to become eligible to join you in Carpe Librum. I'm really excited about it and hope that July 13 gets here fast! :-)

Well, it was suppose to be smaller... Ups. I just started reading long awaited sequel to Jennifer Foehner Wells Confluence series - Remanence. If you like nice Space opera with interesting female scientist lead and a little romantic element - you should try it. Also it has great cover art.

I don't read much Historical Fiction or Fantasy. It's not that I don't like either, it's just that I like other stuff more. :) My favorite HF is The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Have you read it? It's one of my all time favorite books. It's a mystery about books and I really enjoyed it. I don't know that I've read just a regular fantasy, now that I've thinking about it. I've read some Urban Fantasy and enjoy the Alex Verus series by Benedict Jacka, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

I hope you've been enjoying some good books lately!

Hello! I love books and reading (as I'm sure all of us in the group do)! I hope you like the pictures that I have chosen. I recently started my master's in library science degree, so I've focused my pictures on libraries and librarians.

Hello! Smadronia here for the CL: Book Related Profile Comment.

I'm surprised to find someone else who doesn't really care for the romance genre. I thought I was mostly alone in my not being fond of them. I can't say it's an active dislike, but I'm not a fan.

I am fond of fantasy novels, although I prefer the ones with magic or fantastic creatures, and less on the politics. If you're in the mood for a good, quick read, The Last Dragonlord by Joanne Bertin is one of my favorite fantasy novels. The next two books aren't great, but the first is a fun read about were dragons.
