Im a stay at home mom to three great kids. I was a teen mom so one of my kids is older (23yrs) and now has her own kid! So that makes me a grandma (a young one ok!) to a beautiful babygirl. The other two are 13yrs & 7yrs.
I have been married for 15 years to a wonderful husband that can sometimes get on my nerves but he is a great guy and puts up with my "Lucille Ball" antics.
I like to work out and try to eat healthy. Just started running 5k's with my middle kid.
I love to go thrifting, window shopping, talking on the phone, getting lost and trying to figure out new routes and shortcuts home.
I like a lot of different kinds of music. I listen to old and new alternative, pop, disco, house & high energy especially when I work out. I also like swing band, Trios (old spanish ramontic singing groups) and stuff my mom used to make us listen to as kids like Barry White, Ella and War (Low Ri-der drive a little slower...bup bup bup bup bup bup bup..bup...bup...bup bup) they remind me of when I was a kid (my mother listened to it all).
I love Chic flicks ie: "In Her Shoes", "Hope Floats", "Sense & Sinsibility", "The Holiday" the list goes on and Horror movies!!! but they scare the #@#%#$@ out of me! LOL! Still love to watch them but only the classic style scary like "The Others" no slasher movies! I also love to watch old classic movies from the 50's, 60's & early 70's. A couple of favorites are "Two For The Road" with Audry Hepburn, "Summertime" with Katherine Hepburn, "The Trouble with Angels" with Rosalind Russell etc etc
Im trying to cut back on the TV watching it cuts into my crafting time! My husband will not let me put a T.V. in my craftroom because then I'd never come out! Just as well. But I do love to watch Grey's Anatomy, Two and Half Men, Project Runway, Biggest Loser and Desparate Housewives. Thats it! I can't add any more to my addiction. LOL! Hooray T-vo!
I love scrapbooking, I started scrapbooking in 1996 and from there it lead to rubberstamping(making cards, ATC's etc). I love to sew, crochet and embroider but I can't knit. I just started trying to make jewelry and soldering but Im not good at it. It's a work in progress.
Um...I try to read but It literaly puts me to sleep! Although I did read the "Twilight" series and was suprised how much I enjoyed reading it! I have been reading the Suzie Stackhouse True Blood series but waiting for the next book to come out on paperback. I just can't see paying for a hardcover.
Let's see...I don't like cute country stuff.
My favorite color is almost any kind of green but I don't like Kelly green you know the basic green in a box of crayons...Yuk!. . I also love purple but more of a plum and lavender shade. I love glitter, leapard print and shabby chic stuff. I love girly stuff, Pin Up Girls, make up, silver jewelry, gettin my hair and nails done (who dosn't).
My favorite Holidays would have to be Halloween and Valentines Day not too crazy about Christmas it stresses me out. I like to garden but I don't like to touch bugs. I like Thirft Store shopping, I love kitschy & retro stuff, Walking and doing lunch or martinis with my girlfriends.
I also like to figure out how to make sugerfree and healthy alternatives to deserts like chocolate cake (My flavorite!) and cookies (My husband is diabetic). So I like to collect cake stands especially vintage ones. I also like to collect depression era cut glass/crystal and milkglass (my mom got me into that).
Don't want to sound forward and don't get me wrong I will love ANYTHING (except country cute LOL!) someone sends me. But if you need a hint as to what I would enjoy receiving...here are some ideas: Craft magazines from any country, anything vintage/retro/kitschy, music, recipes, anything handmade, ATC's, girlie stuff, aprons, ephemera, craft supplies, stationary, postcards. That's all I can think of at the top of my head :)
