I ALWAYS rate and I ALWAYS send out my swaps on time. If you have not received a rating from me, that means I have not received the swap and chances are you have already been contacted about that. If you have not received a swap from me either it got lost in the mail OR I am not on this earth to send it(dead). Grimm, but true.
I rate fairly. I am an understanding person, if I am contacted directly about a swap being 1 day or 2 days late, I will be fine with that. But, if I never receive a swap even if I was contacted, a fair rating will be assessed.
I reuse packaging -get a lot of bubble mailers from swaps and other things and I like to recycle not waste/
Check the last section of my profile for updates and other news. This is where I communicate about swaps and anything that might be relevant to a swap being late, however I will always contact my partner directly to inform.
I mark swaps as 'sent' when I have dropped it in the mailbox, sometimes that may be on a Sunday(in the USA no mail on Sundays) Or be on the deadline date of the swap (although I try very hard to send it a few days prior to that to avoid gray areas). That being said, my 'send date' and when the Post Office post marks it, may be different. If you are someone wondering if I've sent it out late, please refer to when Swap-bot says I clicked send. Of course, I am human, so there may be the rare time that I forget to mark sent, I will send you a message communication this.
My name is Desiree and I live in Kissimmee, Florida by way of Central New Jersey.
Things I enjoy are: movies, music, traveling, collecting fun items, shopping, amazon and making new friends. I am shy in "real life" and pen-paling has always been a way to cope with loneliness, because I am horrible at making friends. But, then again, it is harder when you are an adult.
I am an honest person and swapper, I just like to enjoy life and do what feels right to me. Life is too short and you only live once!
I enjoy pretty much anything that is sent to me, but I have some dislikes that can be found further down my profile. I really am not picky. I just love swapping and getting happy mail.
I am discovering new things like Washi Tape, Flip Books and Pocket Letters and the Happy Planner!
I am not a great crafter, but I enjoy doing it and I enjoy getting crafts others make in swaps. I've been getting into making ATC's and Flip Books. I like the idea and look of Pocket letters, etc. Crafting is really therapeutic and keeps my mind focused.
-Postcards, notecards and stationary(Diddl themed I especially like. Not sure if it is still around anymore), letter sets
-Stamps(cancelled ones, I like the look of a traveled stamp)
-Shot glasses(I have a huge collection and growing!
-Bottle caps(just started this, saw some cool crafts you can do with them)
-Stickers(disney, hello kitty, scrapbooking, etc.)
-Disney Pins( I have a decent collection and even a collectible binder I have them all in!)
-ATCs (I like collecting them and now getting into the beginner phase of making them)
-Anything cute (Sanrio, Hello Kitty, etc.)
-I absolutely LOVE the color Pink and I go out of my way to get things in Pink if it doesn't come that way already.
-Wine (not sending it, of course) but, I really like items that have wine bottles and wine themes on them.
-England, I have had a sort of obsession with England since I was a teenager. I love anything British culture and/or with the British flag on it.
-Paris, I love designs with french words on them, especially love and romance theme and also items with the Eiffel tower on it.
-New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco are my favorite U.S. cities, so anything with these cities on them are awesome.
-Blank Recipe cards, especially cute designed ones
-Recipe cards with a recipe on it
-Handmade envelopes, I like to make them as well and a lot of my flat mail swaps are sent in a handmade envie. I'm not too great at making them, but I am improving.
-Tickets-- I really like the look of tickets such as movie tickets, plane tickets, the ticket shape, etc.
There is not much that I don't dislike, but here are a few:
-Religious -- While I do believe in God, I do not like it shoved in my face or forced upon me.
-Cigarettes-- I hate the smell and I do not smoke
-Fruit flavored teas
-Licorice -- I am not a fan of it. Such examples are Twizzlers.
-Things that have a bad odor
-No paper scraps
-No food items
-Pocket letters-- have not received one yet, but looking forward to receiving one OR maybe in the future creating a swap for one, soon as I get the hang of it!
-Letter Sets -- any kind as long as it is matching paper and envie
-ATC's--I really enjoy collecting them.
-Loose stationary; odds and ends stationary paper and envies that don't match.
-Craft stuff(embellishments, journal cards, project life cards, tags, etc.)
-Tim Holtz stuff
-Any planner supplies
-Tea -- while I like tea, I am noticing that I am not drinking what is being sent.
-Christmas Items (even in season)- I don't do any Christmas crafts and those items will not get used by me.
None at this time.
