Hello, I'm Hannah. I'm from the city of Florence, Alabama but I'm now in the Mississippi Delta. I'm currently 23 and an online English teacher! I also work as a summer camp counselor. I love being outdoors and I also love working with kids so it's the perfect job for me!
I have a fascination with cryptids. Bigfoot is by far my favorite. I also love alien stories.
The town I grew up in is SUPER haunted. Living in the South in an area that has been home to Native Americans and Civil War events is a perfect recipe for quite a few spooks and specters. I grew up listening to ghost stories and reading books about haunted places in my home town. I love the supernatural.
Heres an article that barely even scratches the surface of the paranormal in my home town (and home region) - https://www.timesdaily.com/archives/shoals-offers-fair-share-of-eerie-places/article_90ad88a1-9f5d-506b-8bbf-715a4f4361b9.html
I stick up the postcards I receive on my wall, it helps to liven up my small bedroom. I also have a Postcrossing Instagram account @ ha.nah.nah.postcrossing if you want to follow my hobby! If you have an Instagram account write it on the card and I will tag you when I post your card :-)
I started collecting postcards in 2016 and I am very fond of my collection. There is (*almost) no postcard that I don't welcome.
These are things I'm interested in... - Van Gogh - Cicely Mary Barker Flower Fairies - Cryptids/Aliens/Ghosts/Halloween - Sunflowers - Astronomy/Space/Science Fiction - Calico Cats/Bees/Birds/Otters - National and State Parks - Shakespeare - J.R.R. Tolkien - Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel
*PLEASE no cards with real mice or rats on them - they are a fear of mine
I love a lot of different types of music. My childhood was filled with the music of the British Invasion and Motown. My grandmother collects memorabilia from The Beatles. I think I get my collecting genes from her haha.
I also love Fall Out Boy. They were my favorite band in high school and college and I'm still a huge fan. My favorite album of theirs in Folie a Deux.
Other musicians that I love: I Don't Know How But They Found Me, Panic! at the Disco, Post Malone, The Brobecks, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Lorde, Lady Gaga, and too many others to list.
I have a very weird thing where I don't like watching new movies or TV shows. I tend to be really apprehensive about what I watch. It's odd I know, but I still watch plenty of things.
My favorite movie (and book) is The Outsiders. I read/saw it in jr. high and I fell in love.
My favorite TV show is definitely The Office. It's a comfort show for me.
Other favorite movies: Twister, The Wizard of Oz, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Hidden Figures, The Help, and Pride and Prejudice.
Other favorite TV shows: Great British Baking Show, MTV Catfish, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Criminal Minds, NCIS, The Amazing World of Gumball, and The Golden Girls
I also love true crime documentaries.
