I'm a lifelong lover of sending and receiving "snail" mail, since long before there was a digital alternative! Oh how I love the delicious anticipation of that moment before you open your mailbox, wondering what it may contain today. Being such a fan of receiving mail, I naturally love to send it.
So, about my interests... I love reading, I enjoy historical epics ( not romance) science fiction and books that make me think. You would say I'm "outdoorsy" as I'm often gardening, (vegetables and flowers) hiking with our two Kelpie dogs and camping out under the stars. No RV for me! I really love cooking with whole foods. I like to experiment with recipes with an international flair.
I love to try new things and yet I have a strong sense of nostalgia for the pre-industrial ways of life.
After looking at other swapper's profiles, I'll make a little list of some of the things I "like"
Colors: gold, orange, amber, yellow, red. and Green, all kinds of green except neon.
Animals: Cats, working dogs, hippopotami, hummingbirds. All animals, really. Except mosquitoes and ticks. They can go to hell.
Flowers: Dahlias, gladiolus, marigolds, lily of the valley.
Authors: Neal Stephenson, Margret Atwood, Michael Polllan, Rumi.
Abstract concepts: Reciprocity, sustainablity, serendipity, acceptance, wonder.
Tea: (because apparently that's a big swap thing) Chai, Earl Grey, herbal teas, green tea. I love all of it, though, the fewer "natural" flavorings the better.
I think that's a good start.
