10/11/09: Due to personal reasons (My Mum's been sick and I've had to take on extra shifts at work, amongst other things) and am not swapping right now. I simply could not do the Halloween swap as of right now. I haven't been on other than to respond to messages more than 2 weeks ago and quite honestly I did forget to cancel the swap at that time. Life happens, we can't always control things and while most people are understanding, others ...not so much. As a result of Swap-Bot cancelling the swap, as I hadn't assigned partners, I rec'd a couple of very snippy messages. While I understand the disappointment and am sorry to have let you guys down, my family is more important to me and I don't appreciate those rude messages. I won't be setting up any other swaps until I am able to fulfill my duty as swap coordinator. When/if (and hopefully soon!) things become less hectic here I'll be open for private swaps. In the meantime I'm taking a little break.

Well, I'm a 26 year old single Mom, by choice, of one amazing lil girl. Her name is Brianna (although I always call her Brie) and her birthday is August 18th, 2007. I'm a stay-at-home-Mom for the most part but, I also work part-time in one of my aunt's stores. Though this is not what I want to be doing at this point in my life... My goals are to be the best Mama that I possibly can be, to start my own business and have it be very successful, for us to be able to buy or build our own home and ultimately to just be happy. My baby girl is my number one priority and right now I am just cherishing every single second of every day, watching her learn and grow, its the most amazing thing to witness.

My interests are wide and varied (crocheting, painting, creative writing, concerts, tattoos, couldn't live without music, postcard swapping, poetry, fashion from various eras, fashion design, faeries, butterflies, folklore, gems & crystals, jewelery design, interior decorating, soapmaking, candlemaking, meditation, pilates, nature hikes, collecting seashells...anything that allows me to be creative.) I don't have alot of free time anymore but I really loving swapping and collecting postcards and thought this website sounded like a great way to meet some new swappers.

For right now my main interest is in swapping postcards. I will swap other things from time to time though. My postcard preferences/interests are as follows:

New/Unwritten 4x6 (or larger), although I am willing to swap naked postcards as well (stamped & written on).

• Castles, (exterior views or any beautiful interior pictures as well! I REALLY would love some of the Amber Room in the Catherine Palace!!)

• Elvis Presley (would love the Elvis Recipe cards as well!)
• Disney (animated) characters & movies
• UNESCO Sites
• Absolut Vodka cards
• Natural Wonders (volcanoes, rainbows, etc)
• State, Country, or Province Maps, State Animals (Maps from states I already have are always welcome too! As I've started a collection of maps for my daughter for when she's older =)
• Stonehenge, pyramids, stone circles, ancient ruins
• Anne Geddes baby fairies, Valerie Tabor-Smith fairies
• B&W (or color) images of little boys & girls (the sweet old-fashioned type ones)
• Any postcards from other countries that are scenic or that depict a local custom/celebration, (European ones are my favorite but I'm happy with pretty much anything because I don't have many from other countries.

State Maps I NEED: AR, IL, IA, KS, LA, MN, MS, MT, NE, NY, ND, OK, OR, SD, UT, VT. This list is RAPIDLY shrinking!! Thank you all for that!!!

PLEASE NOTE: The only maps I'm really not interested in are subway maps and the big lettered ones over a map.

And finally...I'm desperately trying to find some nice, rich, luxurious fabrics for quilt and some other projects! Anyone know where I can find thick velvets (esp. crushed), silks, nice soft faux furs?? I'm especially looking for blues, teals, purples, blacks, silvery grays, whites/creams, pinks, deep reds (crimson and darker hues). Would be interested in doing a swap for these if you have a place where you can find them reasonably priced!!

• Flamingos: This is a weird one, I know! She saw inflatable ones and balloons with Flamingos in a store about two months ago and has been obsessed with the darn things ever since! LOL

• Kipper (the Dog): She LOVES the Kipper cartoons but sadly I haven't been able to track down any of the books or toys anywhere!
• Pajanimals: Don't know if there are is even anything available of them but we love 'em! Every night after Kipper, before bed, we have to sing and dance along with the Pajanimals
• Dora the Explorer: Loves Dora, Boots, and SWIPER!
• Dragon Tales-y type dragons, she loves Kassie from DT and any other cutesy dragons like that
• Tinker Bell anything! She's got lots of Tink stuff in her nursery. Its got a fairy and butterfly theme

• Rubber Duckies: I HAD a bit of a collection of them that she has claimed lol. We both love duckies!
• Baby dolls that are soft and on the smaller side since she's small herself
• Little figurines... loves any little people or critters that fit in her hand (but please nothing that is small enough to be a choking hazard!)
• Toy foods and tea sets! We love to have tea parties =)

• Music: OMG she really loves to dance!! Its SOOooo cute! =)
• Johnny & the Sprites: I loved watching this show with her but Disney has stopped airing it! =/ ...We'd love a copy of any episodes of this show or even the soundtrack!
• Stickers: None of my stickers are safe from her LOL so any stickers for her would be awesome!
• Loves playing dress up with Mama's shoes and jewelry already!!! So any toddler safe jewelry would be awesome!
• Fraggle Rock: I've got the DVDs and she loves the Fraggles
