I enjoy everything artsy and craftsy and especially love mixed media art. Joseph Cornell is my favorite artist, and I was lucky enough to see his entire collection at the Peabody Museum and it was so beautiful, it brought me to tears! I also love Klimt, Edward Gorey and Louise Nevelson! I was born and raised in Vermont, but I lived in Colorado for 4 years while I was in the Army. I own a cupcake bakery and am extremely lucky to be living my dream!
The Kooks, The Neighbourhood, Lorde, The 1975, Atlas Genius, Silversun Pickups, 30 Seconds to Mars, Snow Patrol, the xx, Seether and Depeche Mode...just to name a few.
I love so many movies, but some of my favorites are The Lost Boys, Fight Club, Se7en, Empire Records, Cold Mountain, The Notebook, Dangerous Liasons, The Village, Sixth Sense, White Palace, Revolutionary Road, Pretty in Pink, Brokeback Mountain, Cloverfield, Warrior, Lawless, I Am Number Four, Twilight, It's Kind of a Funny Story, Drive, Nightcrawler, Enemy, The Babadook, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, Nocturnal Animals, Neon Demon, Call me by your Name, and Equals.
I read everyday, and George Saunders is my favorite author. Some of my favorite books are CivilWarLand in Bad Decline, Call me by your Name, I am the Messanger, Haunted, The Book Thief, A Certain Slant of Light, The Reader, Dolores Claiborne, Revolutionary Road, Tallula Rising, If I Stay and Warm Bodies.
Fall, Edward Gorey, woodland animals, the forest, trees, leaves, washi tape, cats, lambs, owls, bunnies, baby deer, fox, racoons, sea otters, birds, bugs, flowers, sparkly things, cute things, circus/carnival, robots, rocketships, stickers, postcards, animals, toys, small trinkets, polka dots, assemblage art, collages, Joseph Cornell & Louise Nevelson, Halloween and anything related to that holiday like skeletons, spiders, monsters, skulls, spooky, pumpkins, black cats, etc., odd things, horror movies, black and white, zombies, vampires. Handmade things--I LOVE things made by you with love. I really love getting a swap package or envelope with stamps on them instead of that shipping label. If at all possible, please use stamps...thank you!
I love art and artist postcards (especially Klimt, Louise Nevelson, Edward Gorey) animals (especially cats (especially calico), pigs, raccoons, bunnies, woodland animals, deer, fox, squirrels, etc.), bats, insects, scary or spooky cards (Halloween is my favorite holiday so the scarier the better), zombies, vampires, mummies, Frankenstein's monster, Edward Scissorhands etc., fairy tales, nature (trees, leaves, the forest, flowers, sunsets, etc.) Native American, carnival, robot or sci-fi in general, birds, sea animals, octopus, sea horses, strange, dark or unusual.
I love postcards naked and stamped. I'd love for you to include a little note or your favorite quote on the postcard you're sending me, and I love stickers on postcards! :)
If I'm honest, I don't love touristy postcards--but, I do want to start collecting map postcards...so if you have one of those I would really enjoy it! (I only have Florida, so far.) If all you have are tourist postcards, I would prefer nature postcards or something like that :)
