ABOUT ME

Hi, My name is Sherrie. (Share-ree)-- like cherry with an S. (But not spelled like it! LOL. You will not believe the mispronunciations and mispellings that i have seen in my lifetime!)

I am a California native --but love traveling--right now my current favorite other place is Boston. I don't know why but I love Boston every time i visit. My third other favorite place is MN. I went to college there so I love to visit and shop when i can. (Mall of America, whoo hoo!)

Other than that, I love reading- and trading...so any opportunity to trade is welcome. I will also do private swaps...especially for books..let me know if we share an interest...I don't mind mailing especially since I love fun packages... Favorite items: books....especially romance novels...Debbie Macomber, Sherryl Woods, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Catherine Anderson, Lori Foster, Stef Ann Holm are some of my favorite authors but I'm up to reading anything that is recommended as a good suggestion!

My favorite shows include True Blood, MAD men, Army Wives, Tori and Dean, Once Upon a Time, Criminal Minds, the Mentalist, Greys Anatomy (off and on), Scandal, Emily Owens, MD, Suburgatory & Modern Family (off and on).

favorite movie of all time is CLUE. i love everything about it! They just dont make movies like that anymore. (sad) For that reason, I also enjoy those dinner murder mystery shows that some places have. (my dream is to go on a murder mystery train ride--never been but i have been to the dinner shows and they are great.)

I also enjoy 80's movies- they made them so much better back then!!

my hobbies include writing , letter writing (yes, email is much faster but something about receiving a letter from a friend is much more personal and fun), reading, traveling around (right now its limited to domestic traveling but who knows what the future will hold for international?) and discovering new things to do to keep my mind busy. My favorite color is purple...and i love collecting things but i have to say that my closet is really full so ever so often, i donate in masses to the local goodwill--clothes, books, etc to make room for the new clutter!!

July 2011--My dearest friend (who i consider my sister) just gave birth a beautiful baby girl named Noelle. (she's my unofficial niece and official god-daughter) So if anyone has any cutesy pink things or something handmade for a baby with her initial or name, please pass on my way. that would be wonderful!! Update July 2012: Noelle is officially one years old!

My favorite store in the world---(so far) is Crabtree & Evelyn..i absolutely love their scents--my favorites are Summer Hill, Spring Rain, Wisteria, and i like Savannah. I believe Summer Hill and Wisteria have been discontinued...but If anyone has any samples or unopened pkgs of these scents, (any size!) please pm me. i am sooo willing to trade.

I love the new "Keep Calm and.." items i keep seeing everywhere. Trust me, any little thing helps with stress..so i would love these. (See my etsy faves or amazon fave links for examples) but i especially love the "Keep Calm and Have a cupcake" and/or the "Keep Calm and Carry On" slogans on items--especially stationery..handmade is more than welcome.

postcards--nature themed or seasonal postcards (winter, spring, autumn, summer) are appreciated..but i am open to all types.

state themed keychains--now collecting..a keychain with a state name on it--any kind of view..im trying to collect all of the states.

new unopened samples...i love samples of lotions, cremes, soaps, perfume...especially floral scents. (please make sure it will not leak in transit)

paperweights or magnets that have something quirky or funny.

ATC materials. I do not do ATC anything. I like completed ATCs so feel free to send me those but please do not send me ATC making materials.

Baking materials--i love cupcake themed items but not actual items used to make cupcakes...i dont bake much so they may just sit around for a long or be re-swapped. Dont waste your money :)

calendars--i automatically receive so many from various insurance companies, etc that i really dont need the extras. So please save them or send them to someone who can use them--however if you make homemade envies from the pages and send me the envies, i would love it!

Ribbon--I have a lot from previous swaps and i really dont use it for anything..i just re swap it back out to people who do.

Black licorice.

Dark chocolate. Regular Chocolate is wonderful but dark chocolate is terrible. so bitter.

Anything coffee flavored including coffee candy or coffee itself. I cannot stand the taste.

sticker flakes--sticker flakes are small sticker pieces that are seperate from the sheet. I prefer full sheets as the pieces tend to scatter everywhere when envie is opened.

Earrings--my ears are not pierced. Ive received some very cute earrings in the past, but sadly unless they are clip ons, i cannot wear them.

paper scraps--please no paper scraps. especially shredded ones and no punchies either please. they're just tiny items that get lost in the shuffle.

old receipts, used tickets, etc.

items smelling of smoke!! (ive actually recd some items in swaps and tags recently that totally reek of smoke) please if you smoke around your items, can you air out the items or smother the items with dryer sheets before you wrap or send?

Also, since we are mailing items, i guess it would be appropriate to add that anything that has potential to leak or tear..it would be gross to open.
