I work in high tech as a Director of Quality Assurance for software and hardware. I'm currently working as a consultant to Digital Motorworks. They generate all the data that is used for the car selling websites such as cars.com. I am a christian and try to bring those values into my work, without offending others.
I have 2 dogs, a chihuahua and a cocker spaniel. I also have a cat. Oh, forgot to mention, I also have a husband and two children - ok make that three children, even though my husband is in his 50s.
I put in a garden this spring and so far have fed all the wildlife in the neighborhood.
Reggae and old fashioned rock and roll. Really all kinds of music except country and western. Ok, I do like Willie Nelson but that is probably because I live near him in Austin, TX.
You name it - I read it. I love reading a good novel with a great plot - not so much into romance novels though... I am currently reading the Twllilight series. One of my favorite fiction authors is Dean Koontz - he writes creepy stories that scare me.
I also like Patrick Lencioni for his management novels. He always has a good "corporate" story followed by ways to implement improvements in an organizaiton. The book Fish! is a great to read for those who need to bring some fun into the work place.
Paint, mosaic, ceramic, sewing, stamping, scrapbooking, everything...
I love art and yes, I am a crafter but prefer to be called an artist! Someday, I dream of leaving the computer field and owning my own art studio when I retire. I just finished work on a mosaic table. I also like to paint, sew, make glass beads, fused glass, ceramics, needle point, and make jewelry. Did I mention that I like crafts???
My website is still under design but hopefully I'll have some of my creations posted on it one day. www.bumblebeepath.com
I love aqua - the color of the ocean on a white sand beach. I also like reds, oranges, purples, browns. I'm not picky about colors and really like them all. However, I look sick in green or yellow.
I am a life time Girl Scout. I was a "first Class" scout as a girl, which is the equivalent to "eagle scout" in Boy Scouts and the same as the "gold award" in Girl Scouting today. I have been a leader, camp counselor and assistant service unit director. My daugher is now grown and stopped being a scout when she was in 8th grade, but I still love the organization. I also volunteer when ever I can for local charities. I like giving back to the community.
