I'm back after a long absence. I considered creating a new account, but my pride won't let me. I have "1" rating. I consider it unfair, and I think that if anyone reads through all my other ratings, they will find that it is not representative. I am an exceptional swapper. You will not be disappointed.
If you are expecting something from me, and it is late, please let me know. I'm anal about getting my swaps out on time. If it was even a day late going in the mail, I will have let you know. I also pledge to rate. I rate everything, usually within a day of receiving. If I haven't rated ya, I haven't gotten it yet.
I live in a small town in Wisconsin, temporarily. My hubbie is going to school to for band instrument repair. I was an art teacher, and i hope to get back to it this next school year. We'll be back in our home state of Missouri by then.
I have (almost) three degrees- a bachelors in Historic Preservation, a chunk of an associates in Funeral Sciences, and I finished my Masters in Education this past Spring. I is edumakated!
By the way, Dias de los Muertos and Halloween, coolest stuff ever!
Mostly I do watercolors and colored pencil pieces. I love to knit and have every intention of teaching myself to crochet. I make lots of little things out of the scrap paper that accumulates in my art stash. I love to make jewelry out of beads and wire and whatever else I can find.
And tattoos. I love tattoos, I have multiple and I design them. I've designed for a number of my friends and students.
Fiction: Neil Gaiman, Laurell K. Hamilton, J.K. Rowling, Margaret Atwood, Janet Evanovich, Douglas Adams... I read a lot, I could go on and on.
Non-Fiction: COOK BOOKS! I may have a small addiction. I have all the Stitch and Bitch books, including the Happy Hooker. All the Mary Roach books - Stiff, Spook, Bonk. And I recommend Wil Stor vs. the Supernatural, good read.
I collect a number of strange things:
Stuff out of quarter machines,
Dias de los Muertos (Days of the Dead) stuff,
Death icons (mostly skulls),
Folklore and Superstitions,
Catholic Saint ephemera (specifically George, Anthony, Jude, and Catherine of Bologna)
Other things I love: Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, BBC Sherlock, Pinterest, Doctor Horrible, Downton Abbey, Star Trek, Firefly, Serenity, Star Wars, Invader Zim, Psych, True Blood, UK Being Human, Sandman, Dinosaurs, Futurama, Torchwood, Batman, Banksy, StL Cardinals & Rally Squirrel, Wicked, & Muppets.
I am diabetic, so no candy or the such for me. Makes me sad. :(
Please don't send me Twilight stuff. I can't stand the book, and I know there are people out there that love it, and that's cool. But I don't. And I teach High School, so I hear about it all day everyday.
Not a fan of cats nor the color yellow.
Hmm, you know I'm not really all that picky. Its really just the Twilight thing.
