what I pledged

I am 29 yrs old. I live in one of the BEST states GA! I consider myself to be a real country girl :) I'm a single SAHM to very busy 5 yr old son, who‘s the apple of my eye. I’m also a full time college student studying Early Childhood Care and Education. I should be done in three more semesters if all of the classes are available. I'm so excited to be back in school!!

MY PERSONALITY: I am a fun person to be around. I'm witty, outgoing & can always be caught w/ a smile on my face. I'm unique and prefer to what I want to do, although everyone says I am a people person. I like to make new friends, write letters, take pictures, and put together gifts packages (nothing much just small cute items I like to share every now and then) as well as receive them. So when I found this website it was like a dream come true! I would really like to make lots of new friends that I can swap with for years to come! I am hoping to gain more than just some mail, but lifetime companions (meaning Friends Forever)!

MY LOVES & FAVORITES: I love to travel, go to theme parks, water parks, national parks, or just quite parks where you can have picnics, I love them all! We (my son & I) LOVE to cook & bake. Purple is my favorite color. The Coldest Winter Ever by Sista Souljah is my favorite Book. Hello Kitty and Scooby Doo are my favorite cartoon characters. Crazy huh? A cat and a dog, one is girlie and the other is not. I take tons of pictures, I have a son and I try to capture every moment. I LOVE LisaFrank and Sanrio that is what most of my stationary is! I have a very large movie, book, and music collection. No particular themes or genres if it catches my attention I like it. I DO TEND TO FAVOR MUSIC BY BEYONCE!! I believe in giving every thing as well as everyone a fair chance. I'm constantly surfing the net in my spare time. I guess you can say I'm into reality shows I watch any and all my favorite is True Life. I recently fell inlove with the series True Blood! I also enjoy watching CSI any will do, Jon & Kate plus 8 (still a fav), The Hills, The City, Cold Case, Law & Order, Crimnal Minds, Biggest Loser, Wife Swap, Trading Spouses, Home Made Simple, Hells Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, House of Payne, and anything on LifeTime Movie Network.

I love to try arts and crafts. I made my son's baby book. I couldn't find one that had all of the pages I wanted so I created one. I love scrapbooking, making mini scrapbooks, putting together photo albums, and I'm also creating my own family cookbook. I would like to have something to leave behind for my kids (not that I am ready to go!). I enjoy playing with any office and craft supply and LOVE colorful pens and colorful sharpies. I also love anything that has to do with July 4th, because that's my B-day!! My son is in Kindergarten, so I try to do little art projects with him at home. He loves scissors, writing utensils, glue & now paint thanks to an episode of Curious George..lol. HE REALLY LOVES PAINT!!!!

My little man is 5 yrs old and so full of life! He loves SPIDERMAN, Mickey Mouse Club House, Phineas & Ferb, Spongebob, Diego, Caillou, Arthur, Clifford, Bob the Buider, Handy Manny, Curious George, Little Bill, Little Bear, and Max & Ruby. He is into cars, trucks, legos and books (he's learning to read). He LOVES to write, draw and play school, so a notepad or notebook, pencils or pens would be great for him. His favorite colors are green and blue. He loves to color! He's been pretty good about not marking on the walls and his clothes so far so water paints, crayons, and markers are allowed. He has a baby & regular leap frog and also a mobiego if you can find any cartridges. He started Kindergarten this school yr & likes to go over his flash cards (hint, hint sight words). He likes anything musical and loves the outdoors!!! He's now into wearing hats & sunglasses for some reason..LOL! We are close to FL and visit the beach often so he gets lots of use out of them. I recently began clipping coupons again. I must admit I love it :) I have even taken the steps to create a coupon binder. At this time I only have a small one I made out of a double sided zipped day planner to fit inside my purse to take along w/ me on shopping trips. Once I gather enough coupons I plan to create a larger 3 ring binder. I plan to participate in & host LOTS of coupon swaps.

DISLIKES: I am not too choosy when it comes to food. I just don't care for liquorice or coconut. CHOCOLATE: I HATE DARK CHOCOLATE! Specially Candy bars! Chocolate syrup is fine with me. White chocolate is ok but I LOVE MILK CHOCOLATE!

FAVORITES: Snickers and Strawberries would have to be our favorite foods. Yes, both my son and myself..LOL!!! SWEET & SAVORY!

ALLERGIES: I don’t use much Cheddar or American cheese because I can't eat it. So please no recipes using those unless they can be substituted, THANKS! It must be the orange color idk.

ISO: I would like to try some easy recipes for 1 or 2. I'm looking for Crockpot/Slowcooker recipes, Freezer friendly recipes (specially the ones where you cook half freeze the rest), I would also enjoy baking & any made from scratch recipes you may have. I will take as many STRAWBERRY recipes as you would like to send. We visit my sister every year in SC and pick strawberries at the strawberry field. It’s so much fun! It would be nice to have some ideas of what to do w/ them :)

In a Penpal I'm looking for someone that is honest, that understands you write whenever you have free time. You can't always write every week. Someone that does not give out rules (never experienced this but keep hearing about it). Someone that is looking for a friend and not just another pal to add to their collection (Pen pals are humans you shouldn't collect them). However, I do understand the concept of wanting a pal in every state! Someone that has a sense of humor and likes to have fun, and someone that can be a little chatty at times. I can be and needs someone that does not mind the occasional mini book! I don't have to have long letters in return all the time, but no form letters please. I would like to know whats going on with you and your life. I do type my letters at times and need pals that don't care about this. It's because of my arthritis, it just depends on how much writing I do. All the letters that I type are personal and typed for each pal, no form letters here! Not all of my letters will be typed :)
