To everyone: between the earthquake and the hurricane(power outages and flooding), I forgot to put in that I sent out my swaps. I just did it today. Sorry to all for posting it late. We lucked out and just had one tree down on the house--$1,650 later, all is well.

Edited to say: I have decided to change the way I swap. What I had been doing is picking out the swaps I wanted and then waited til I got my partner to see what they liked and then prepared the swap. Well, due to this crazy year of broken legs, earthquakes and hurricanes, I decided to make a bunch of things that I really like and then have enough items to share before signing up--which I will do on the last possible day to be sure I have enough swaps to go around. It might not be perfectly matched to the profile, but I can't be late again. This way I can sign up, the swap closes and I can mail out my swap and post it all within a day. What a year!!

I'm the mother of 3 and grandmother of 9. The oldest is 13 and the youngest is 4 months.I love crafts and learning about creative people.

My favorite craft is crocheting, but I dabble in sewing and once in a while I try something new just for the challenge.

I thought I should add something to my profile now that I am participating more in swaps. I crochet almost every day, so I would love to get something different. Other than that, I'm pretty happy to get anything handmade--I so admire everyone's work.

I like rock and motown, some heavy metal music.

I usually only go to the movies when my grandchildren want to go. I've watched Independance Day, Men in Black, Pretty Woman and Dirty Dancing more times than I can count. Love Harry Potter.

I watch Survivor, The Amazing Race, Biggest Loser, CSI and some Oprah (no more sorry to day), some Ellen.

I added other as a category since I just wasn't quite sure what else to write, leaving it open to come up with something exciting and interesting LOL edited to say that maybe the Other category can include the swaps I'm participating in. I did the necklace swap, I sure hope my partner likes it. Then I did the snowflake swap. I just sent those out today. I learned that I have to read about my swapping partners to try to accomodate their likes, so that's what I'm doing today with my latest swap. I found out my partner likes red and purple--so that's my motivation for that one.

I don't know how to add to this except to keep typing, so here's my latest. I entered a bunch of swaps to start, sent out my stuff and now have tried for 3 more. I don't have my partners yet so I guess I'm frustrated since I want to send things right away--impatient I guess. I think I should look for swaps with a shorter lead time--except I really like handmade and that does take time--such a dilemma. Thanks everyone for swapping, I'm having a great time.

Just thought I'd add that I love handmade. That's my favorite thing to both give and get. I am having fun with the thrift swap also.
