.JUST TO LET YOU KNOW-- I RE-USE, RECYCLE AND RE-GIFT! I don't like to see anything without a loving home, so I usually share if it is something I can't use. I also reuse mailing envelopes.
My wishpot is basically a place where I have put some of my favorite things and is not meant to be a shopping list. ;o)
I'm "The Ugly Rug" Lady
I am Talyn (rhymes with Allen). I am a Stay at Home Mom with a 17 year old son, and a Shiba Inu dog named Sadie Sue. I am married and currently live in the town I was born in-Twin Falls, Idaho, but have also lived in Walla Walla, Washington and twice in Alaska- Juneau and Anchorage- and hope to live in Alaska again someday.
One of my favorite mottos...."housework won't kill you, but why take the chance?"
I am starting a collection of unique pin cushions, and I really like bottle cap pin cushions. wink wink
I LOVE Moose....they are kinda like me---big, clumsy and not very pretty. I miss having them in my yard in Alaska. I do not miss the bears. They scare me.
Autumn is my favorite time of year. Love the Fall colors and the 'crisp' in the air. Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday and my favorite meal. I even like SNOW, but too much rain depresses me.
I love the outdoors and go camping whenever I can get away. Nothing beats sitting around a campfire with a cup of hot cocoa and watching the moon and stars.
I like yard sales, Thrift Stores, auctions and anywhere I can get a 'bargain'. I have even been known to Dumpter Dive on occasion.
I do volunteering and sewing for charity. I make dresses for Orphans in Bangladesh, crochet scarves and wash cloths for CRAFTY ANGELS, Crochet leprosy bandages, knit hats for 'Coats for Kids' and sew baby quilts for the Women's Shelter, so any extra cotton or flannel fabric or even yarn is great with me!
I am a Christian, active in my Church, and volunteer in my Church's Community Service Center.
My Grandparents came to USA from Holland and I wish I had learned the language. Would love to visit Netherlands some day.
I do a little gardening and can my produce, grind wheat to make bread and my whole wheat pancakes. I would like to get a little greenhouse going . I have started composting again.
I like wearing bib aprons, and I would like to have a MOOSEY apron.
I prefer spicy (cinnamon, peppermint etc.) scents over flowery scents.
I don't smoke or drink.
I take care of my elderly Mother.
I read a lot. I work crossword puzzles.
I LOVE Fabric Bags of all sizes and colors......!
I have nothing against 'used' items, as I enjoy shopping at Second Hand stores myself.
I am not an Expert at anything, but I do a little
Kawaii, spiders, skulls, pagan/wiccan, clowns, other scary/ugly things--Yes! Clowns are scary!
Hair accessories-my hair is very short
brussels sprouts (I don't even know how to spell the awful things)
HAZELNUT Anything!!!
I do not scrapbook or make ATC's.
Counted Cross Stitch Patterns of OWLS and/or MOOSE---not necessarily in the same pattern.
Variegated Sewing Thread-any color
Myrtle Wood Spurtle
Any fun candy or sugarless gum, Foreign Coins or Paper Money for my son.

Any fabric tote/shopping bag---I use them for the library, shopping, crocheting projects etc. Everywhere I go, I have some sort of project with me---except Church. ;o)
Coffee, Tea or Cocoa Packets
Cute Pin Cushion

Move back to Alaska and not live in town this time.
Travel from one end of Canada to the other end.
Boat the Yukon River.
Open up a Thrifty, Rustic (but cozy) Bed and Breakfast.
Learn to be more self-sufficient, live a simpler and more frugal life.
Hike the Chilkoot Trail..
Get another VW Camper Van and do a LOT of traveling. I have been in many states but there are more I want to see.
Hike down into the Grand Canyon--and ride a Burro back up.
Learn to cook in a Dutch Oven.
Learn to make a toothbrush rug.
Learn to make paper.
Raise Chickens that lay beautiful brown eggs.
Learn how to sew the Feather Stitch. My Grandmother used this on alll of her quilts, and I love the look!
Learn to make cheese. I have already made butter and yogurt at home.
I just discovered 'Blackwork' and would like to try it.
