About Me

I am a 53-yr-old married mom of two (ages 19 & 21), who likes to dabble in art. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and publish a local quarterly zine called Minneapolis Observer Quarterly (MOQ), which was nominated for best new publication of 2006 in the Utne Independent Press Awards (but, alas, didn't win). Favorite Crafts

Paper crafts of all kinds, including ATCs, paper art dolls, handstitched books and journals, and altered books. Knitting -- especially felting. I used to sew a lot (even owned an alterations shop for a few years), then got a bit burnt out on all that, but now am enjoying a little creative sewing again. I like to use natural fibers, found objects and items from nature.

Comment: I love all of the items. Surprisingly, I found myself reading the MOQ useful calendar that you used to package it in the most!! (you see, I grew up in Mankato.....so I miss this stuff...sometimes...when it's not winter, that is...)
