I am a 23 year old from Oklahoma. I got married on May 15, 2010 to my best friend! I graduated from college last May with a degree in Mass Communication with a minor in Speech Theatre. My husband and I met at college and he graduated this year with the same degree that I have.
I host a sewing show on youtube called "Whitney Sews." It started as a final project for my Video Production II class. The first episode was supposed to be a little bit cheesy, but I actually got a good response from it when I posted it to youTube. So I keep filming episodes and made one a week for an entire year. After a year of weekly videos I needed a little bit of a break, so I'm still making sewing tutorial videos, just not on such a regular basis.
Right now I am a full time etsy store owner. I opened my first etsy store (generationgap.etsy.com) in September 2008 during my senior year of college. It was intended to be a handmade only store, but evolved into a vintage and handmade store. So June 2010, I opened my second store (vintagebywhitney.etsy.com). I can now make GenerationGap a handmade only store again and have all my vintage items together in their own store. I'm waiting to see what happens with married life to see if I need to get a 'real' job or not.
I love receiving mail! So every time I send a package (either for my store or a swap) I hope I'm sharing that same feeling with someone else!
If you send something that you think I'll like...then I'm going to like it because I will appreciate the thought you put into it!
I've never done a private swap, but if you want to do one then send me a message and we will see what we can work out.
My favorite colors are cereleun and kelly green and my favorite animals are orcas and elephants.
So many...Anne of Green Gables, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Autobiographies, To Kill a Mockingbird, Nicholas Sparks books, Ella Enchanted, Far North, My Side of the Mountain Trilogy, Little Women, The Magic of Ordinary Days, The 10th Kingdom, Defenders of the Universe, Jannette Oke books, Nancy Drew and Hardy boys Books, and many more...I however am NOT a Twilight fan. Right now I'm mostly into historical fiction christian romance (that's actually one genre), Native American books- either history books or fiction with a Native American theme, and autobiographies.
Hanson, Elvis, classic country, southern gospel, Lawrence Welk type music...I like just about any kind of music and my favorites change on a weekly or dayly basis. Mostly though I think my favorite songs are the ones that hold the most memories... :)
Five Mile Creek, Dr. Quinn, The Lawrence Welk Show, NCIS, Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, WIll & Grace
My favorite type of crafting is sewing...but I don't think of it as a craft. I consider sewing to be a good portion of my life, between my youTube sewing series, my handmade etsy store, and all the personal sewing projects I work on.
I recently discovered ATCs and I love making them! I've never considered myself to be an artist, but ATCs are a nice, nonthreatening way to do art.
I also love doing other 'crafts'...anything from making cards (not very good at it), magnets, carving stamps, jewelry making...basically I will give any craft a shot.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents worth about your 3.. I blocked that person also. After I read her profile, I wasn't amused at all. I am sure she would not like anything I did or sent either. :) I adore the ATC you made me and I would swap with you anytime, too!
Congrats on the wedding!!!!
