Full-time art student/maker/painter/photographer
children: 2 girls (ages 17 and 14) & twin boys (age 10)
places I have lived: Idaho, Washington and Colorado
pet: one sweet kitty named Pixie.
Anything that makes me feel happy, inspired, or reminiscent...from alternative to classical to country to pop and most everything in between.
Poetry by Neruda/Whitman/Bukowski/many many other poets, Into the Wild, Summer, Ethan Frome, The Other Boleyn Sister, The Know-It-All: One Man's Humble Quest to Become the Smartest Person in the World (hilarious!), The Hobbit, A Song of Ice and Fire (the Game of Thrones series), The Catcher in the Rye, The Far Pavilions, the Harry Potter series, 1984, Madame Bovary, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Jungle, Street Sparrows...anything smart or adventurous or romantic that keeps me up past my bedtime because I just can't put it down. I find that if a book or poem has the word "languid" in it then I usually love it.
♥ I don't have one particular style of thing that I like. The best way to see what I like is to look at my flickr photos. I like unique and personal art more than clip art or packaged ephemera. I like classically pretty things and also totally weird things.
♥ ATCs made by you. Hand drawn and/or painted are my faves.
♥ VINTAGE images of men and women-old photos
♥ pretty things with flowers or ♥ HEARTS ♥
♥ BIRDS and BUTTERFLIES
♥ coins from around the world
♥ paper and stationery (I am a paper freak and can never have enough) I like to scavage around the recycle center and thrift stores for random papers
♥ pens, pencils, paint
♥ handmade bags/pouches
♥ rocks and seashells
♥ handmade jewelry/pendants/charms
♥ skeleton keys and other METAL CHARMS
♥ used postage stamps
There are only a few things I don't wish to receive: plain ATCs that obviously took minimal effort, tea, foam stickers, cheap scrapbooking supplies, confetti, loose glitter, things that are poorly made.
I really hate googly eyes!
I appreciate quality over quantity and just enjoy swaps that show some thought and time went into them.
