My name is Shelby and I love to sew and do crafts of all sorts. My grama helped infuse my love of crafting from an early age. I only wish I had more organized ways to craft - so here I am! I love to work with fabric and paper. I am learning to crochet and knit but it is SLOW...my fingers are just not working right. :)

I am a WAHM to 3 kiddos (Miss Z - 9, Mr. T - 4, and Miss M - 2). I teach university courses online while the kids run wild. :) I am lucky I have the chance to work from home. I do need some discipline to craft - hence my desire to join swaps again! I love to see what other people create and the sharing of ideas.

I love animals! My zoo seems to be growing. We have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 3 hermit crabs. We have a great dane puppy - Mini - who is already 100 pounds - and Sprinkles our resident mutt. Buddy the el gato cat reigns supreme. They are all black and white too with almost identical markings - we couldn't have planned it if we tried.

I can't wait to see what will arrive in my mailbox!

I love to sew and I dapple in paper crafts. I like to make scrapbooks - paper and digital - and I am branching out into cards and considering ATCs.

I am learning how to take better photographs too. I play around with digital scraping and am learning how to enhance my shots.

I also use stamps but really need to get into that more! I have a bunch I don't use.

I also like to craft with the kids - glitter, glue, sticks, paper, yarn, ribbon fun!!

I love all colors but I tend towards more bright primary colors. I love retro - reds, blacks, blues, yellows, greens. Favorite colors are turquoise, black and white.

Love to receive Vintage, offbeat, unique items! Vintage ephemera a plus!

I do like boy-oriented items - I tend not to have enough of those for my little man.

Food: love it. :) Honestly I don't dislike too much except walnuts (most nuts) and coconut. I love most teas and coffees. Not allergic to any foods.

The dislikes: No holiday themes, religious or baby items please unless in a specific swap.

Not into anime/manga.

I only watch a little TV since it seems to always be set to cartoons. I watch Big Love, Glee and occasionally Cake Boss. Also watch nature shows and science shows. Love American Pickers!

I love to read. Browsing in used book stores is a favorite pastime. I remember browsing used book stores with my dad when I was young and have started to do the same with my kids.

Love Stephanie Plum books!! Also love Sarah Booth Delaney books.

Want to start reading Sookie Stackhouse books when I get a chance.
