About Me

I am a mother to 4 daughters and a grandmother to 4 . :) I have been a teaching assistant in public schools for the past 18 years and truly love my job!
Most of my "free" time is spent looking for ideas for the classroom, spending time with my girls or my grandkids.

I love all colors. I have NO allergies to anything.

Favorite Music

I love any older "classic" rock. I also like country and alot of recent "top 10" music. Basically anything that isn't blue grass.

Favorite Books

I absolutely LOVE V.C. Andrews and Nicholas Sparks. I also LOVE the fact that Safe Haven was filmed in the local area here and I got to participate in a day of filming that ended up being like a 3 minute shot in the movie :).

Favorite Television

Almost all reality tv shows, CSI, Bones, Lizard Lick Towing, Swamp People, The Voice, American Idol, Law & Order SVU. I really love to watch those weird shows that come on really late or early in the morning.

Favorite Crafts

I love anything that kids can do as I have worked in early elementary for the past 18 years. I try to challenge myself to make a craft fit into the educational curriculum so that the kids can have fun with learning.

I live in a non-smoking house.

Love going to local thrift stores and yard sales to find "interesting" stuff that I can use in other ways.

I recently had gastric-bypass surgery and have lost right at 200 lbs so any bread, pasta, or drinking milk. This also cuts WAY back on sweets in the house, except for what my daughters and husband consume.

I love recipes for quick cooking or cooking with the crock pot. Recipes for protein dishes are also great.

LANDON

Landon is my grandson who is going to be 4 in July. He is a true Spider Man and Sponge Bob lover. He also loves balls and doing anything outdoors. He is a typical boy who loves to play and explore.

Things he gets excited over:

TEAGAN

Teagan is a typical 2 year old princess. She loves anything girlie. She is small for her age but it doesn't take away from her spirit or personality.

Comment: Funny story... This is the only yellow car that David has. When he got it he said "It's yellow like Becky's car." Becky is a good friend of mine who has been in two accidents in the past 9 months. I came into the play room a little while ago and he was playing with his new yellow car, crashing it into another one. I asked why he was crashing his new car up and he said "Because it's Becky." I haven't laughed so hard in years. Thanks for everything especially the laugh.
