I'm an altered artist/nursing student!

** HELP MEEEEE! I'M DROWNING!!!! **

So, this last semester is KICKING MY BOOTIE!!! I have more studies than I ever imagined and I have no time to breathe. My last rotation was in High Risk/Critical Care Pediatrics. It was such an emotional roller coaster! I have SIX WEEKS left before finishing my semester! And 10 Weeks before becoming an official Registered Nurse! WHOOHOOOOO!

If you are expecting a pkg from me, it's on its' way! Sorry for the lack of timliness, but life grabbed me by the horns and dragged me under!

Currently I'm an LPN. My dreams are to become a Nurse Practioner and practice in either Neonatology or OB/Labor/Delivery!

I also dream/plan of having a home on the East Coast one day. I would love to have a beach house where my future grandkids can visit whenever they want!

I am known as the Keeper of Images in the extended family! I document anything and everything via film.

My passion is digital photography and I take pictures daily.

I frequently teach art workshops in our local area! I LOVE TO TEACH!

Ahhh...art. I'm the go-to girl of arts & crafts. I love hosting workshops for family and friends! I also teach at the local art stores, various mixed-media workshops!

LOVE JOURNALING! MOLESKINES!~ Especially the tiny sketchbook/watercolor ones! I rarely used the lined ones.

I love almost all altered art/mixed-media technique. I combine all that I can in my projects. I also love creating crazy jewerly, polaroid transfers, canvas art, wall art, Inchie Mosaics, ATC's, etc.

Photography is my passion. Digital altering, polaroid transfers, toy cameras (lomo, fisheye, holga), jewelry, metal smithing, leather making, paint, mixed-media, altered art journals, and book binding to name a few!

I love altered book binding techniques as well as my Zutter book-binder.

• My most fave items in the world...are Mini Moleskine Sketchbook Journals. I use them EVERYDAY! I also LOVE-ITY-LOVE Pinbacked buttons.

• i LOVE bright colors!!! I'm hispanic and I guess that is my nature!

• Embroidered items. Kitchen towels w/embroidered bright florals & mexican prints!
• Kawaii Not picky! Even "generic" Kawaii is sweet! I'm not freaky about it! I moreso love the "Artsy Graphic" feel of Kawaii.

• Magazine clippings from cool mags that have amazing graphics. Ed Hardy designs!

• Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother Theresa, Pope John Paul II, Catholic Crosses, Unique Rosaries, Milagros, Sugar Skulls & their imagery, Mexican candies, Catholic Saints, altars, artifacts. Truly love prayer cards with saints on the front.

• Past issues of TeenVogue or CosmoGirl. They are smaller mags with great images that I use!

• Acrylic Rhinestones, round or odd-shaped sequins

• Looking for larger sized decorative tape! The kind that looks like packing tape! I have; Sushi, Black Cat, Evil Ducks, Rosie Riveter & Skulls.

• Tiny, colorful, cutsie figures/toys (they make me smile!)

• Grunge, ubran, retro, graphic and shabby chic images
• Cool Journal Totes. I use them EVERYDAY! And like some ladies with purses, I switch out daily!

• PENS!!! My most used pen is the Faber Pitt Castell Brush Marker. I use black & gray ALL THE TIME!

• HEARTS WITH WINGS! My most loved symbol. It's been with me since the early 80's! There is a Stevie Nicks story attached to it! Ask me sometime!

• SACRED Heart or Heart w/a crown, Milagros, Frida Kahlo, Mariachis, Mexican art.

• MERMAIDS!!! Mystical & mythical, not cutsie.
