I am a mixed media artist living in South Carolina. I met my husband on a private message board discussing the Elian Gonzalez story (the little boy who was coming to the US from Cuba and his mother died and there was a fight for custody). I have lived in Europe, Boston, Los Angeles, Florida before moving to South Carolina earlier this year. My good friend that I met on the same message board as my husband made my wedding dress, through the mail, we never met until 2 years later. She is a wonderful fiber artist. I am so lucky.
I have two dogs, Amber a toy poodle and Becky a 5 lb silky terrier. They are my babies.
I love doing all sorts of art, I have made many ATC's. I decorate old cigar boxes and make large paintings, I dye silk and make miniature quilts, beading, I can't even tell you how much stuff I have, I drive my husband crazy. I do photography as well. I love cooking too.
I have a massive DVD collection and I am open to all types of movies from Fried Green Tomatoes to Spiderman to Silence of the Lambs. I even one time got to go to a movie oremiere when I lived in Los Angeles.
Crime & Punishment and some of the reality shows. All the opposite of what my husband likes LOL. We have separate TV's and separate remotes.
beads, vintage items, charms, cabinet cards, not anything too kitschy. But I do love unusual stuff. No cartoony things. StayzOn ink pads (although I already have black, blue, red and olive green. dotee dolls, row houses, nice Christmas ornament that tend it run vintage and beaded ones. There isn't really alot that I need, I really like the stuff made by other artists.
When the swap is handmade, I would really like to receive what you do best, I enjoy receiving other people's art and I am open on the medium.
Since my husband and I have moved, I have been lacking motivation. I am so motivated now that I have found this site. Doing art is my job so I have plenty of time to fulfill my swaps, as much as possible, I have them prepped before the partners are picked. So happy swapping to all here.
I do no flake on swaps, if you have not received something from me and I have marked it sent, please contact me so I can resend. I will do the same for you. I always rate the same day I receive a swap and will hope that you will rate me as well. I really enjoy the community here as I live out in the country and don't get to see many people, especially other artists, so thank you all my fellow art swappers.
I have so many art supplies that it my husband is about to tear out what little hair he has left. So I would really prefer handmade items that you have made. I definitely don’t need any fibers as the amount I have is enough to open a store with. I am not in to cutesy things including stickers and Kawaii or any of the other stuff like that and it would be wasted on me. There is no need to send me extras as I rate hearts on the swap item(s) itself and not the extras sent, so, please save the extra postage for another swap. It isn’t that I don’t appreciate the extras, but I am very particular in what I like to receive and what I will use and as I am in a lot of swaps, I have received a ton of extras and I appreciate it, but I can barely use my own supplies, let alone all the extras I receive. Please no candy (I don’t need it LOL), no coffee or tea (I don’t drink it). I am a silver and copper person, not that into yellow gold.
