I don't have cable at home, but I buy dvd sets of shows. Love "Scrubs". Got addicted to "24", and "Lost", and suffered when McDreamy didn't choose Meredith in "Gray's Anatomy". "Desperate Housewives" is also in my collection, as are the "Simpsons" and "Family Guy". I always enjoy watching reruns of "Sex and the City", "That 70's show", "Friends" and my latest addiction is "Arrested Development" (I just got the entire dvd collection).
I only like collecting the actual dvd sets, nothing else. I'm not into collecting any type of ephemera regarding the shows (cards, posters, stickers, etc., t-shirts)
I really enjoy crafting and learning new techniques. I have taught myself all my crafts by reading about them, and then just by doing them, with some trial and error involved. There are a lot of crafts that I enjoy. Knitting is one of them. I love knitting, but I don't have much patience and I need instant gratification, so I stick to fairly small items: things for children, scarves, hats, etc. I have never ventured into the big items...but perhaps one day I will.
Same story with crocheting. I love it, but just stick to small things: some amigurumi, lip balm cozies, hats, scarves, etc.
Very recently I got some polymer clay, so I've been playing around with that. I'm still pretty much a beginner.
I enjoy paper crafts: making cards, bookmarks, binders, boxes, etc. Now I'm also getting ready to start experimenting with paper-making. One of my Christmas gifts was this amazing paper-making kit with a bunch of extras to create different textures, and colours. I just got a few books on it so I'll be making some beautiful paper soon.
Sewing!!! I just love it. I love fabrics, needles, embroidery floss, thread in vibrant colors, books about sewing, magazines, patterns for babies and toddlers.
