I just saw your "talk like a pirate" swap, and I was wondering, if you know about the feature on facebook where you go to account settings and change the language - there you can choose the language "english - pirate" and all text is transformed into pirate-language "what be troublin´ ye"has f. ex replaced "what is on your mind":) It takes a bit of getting used to, but it is a lot of fun:)
Here is my link from the clip from Muppet Treasure Island a pirate spoof with Tim Curry and the Muppets, you can't go wrong there. Real pirates, classic ones anyway have such an adventurous romantic image but I think they were probably un bathed and badly behaved. I like the Hollywood version from Tyrone Powers, to Johnny Depp and several in between. It's always a great theme with imagery and we have lots of "dead" pirates and live ones in the Mermaid parade (and all sea things, every year. I participated in Talk like a pirate Krispy Kreme this year getting all dressed up and 2 years ago I was one of Kangaroo Joeys pirate adventure a fun animal exhibit at a fair in California.
