I'm a stay at home mom and I home school my son. I was in the Navy active duty for 4 years. My first duty station was Naples, Italy for 2 years. Loved living there! I met my husband in the Navy in Charleston, SC which was my second duty station. We were both active duty and working near each other on base. We now live back in Illinois, which is where I am from, to be close to family. We have lots of wineries here and I love visiting them. I love the outdoors and l love going hiking and bike riding.

I love country music, 60's/70's rock, Texas Swing, Big Band, and a bit of the newer music.

I have an 11 year old son, named Ryan. He's very active and loves Baseball, Basketball, old boxes, old books, and old maps (he loves going to yard sales with me, LOL). He also loves pirates, Egypt, bugs, The Last Air Bender, camping, hiking, nature, loves to play outside, and the Bible.

My fav moives are romantic comedies, and love stories, as long as they don't make me cry too much. I like the happy ending, life has enough sad endings. My fav old movies are Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life, Fried Green Tomaotes, and Dirty, Rotten, Scoundrels. I also love old Charlie Chann movies that I used to watch with my dad when I was young.

Lotions with fresh scents such as white linen or cotton. Candles with fresh/spicy scents such as cinnamon, hazelnut, pine. I don't wear much make up except for blush, powder, mascara, and neutral eye shadow. I love coffee and mugs. Tea of any flavor! My favorite colors are autumn colors, burnt orange, brown, muted greens, gold. I love milk and dark chocolate. My sock size is 8/9 USA.

I'm not into the cute stuff like Hello Kitty, Kawaii, anime (unless they are dark and gothic), disney, cartoon stickers (unless you are sending for my son). For the Yard Sale/Thrift Store swaps, please do not send any stuffed animals!

I love to read many different kinds of books such as travel books, history, biography, and fiction of course. My fav fiction usually has some type of twist to it such as a bit of magic or other world than our own theme going on. I love fairy tales that haven't been rewritten to make them less scary. I guess I like the dark side of them with illustrations to match. My fav fairy tales are Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, and many others from the Brothers Grimm collection.
