Hi, I'm Loni (pronounced la-knee)

I'm really easy going, I love to help other people whenever I can and I try to make people smile.

I'm a Baptist, the wife to a wonderful guy and the mom to three beautiful girls.

I live in beautiful upstate NY and love spending time in the Adirondacks. We're coming up on probably my favorite season autumn. To watch the leaves as they change there colors is purely awesome. The only thing probably more beautiful is when it's snowing and the snow blankets everything in white.

I also try to volunteer as much as I can, primarily through my church, but also via 4-H and the American Red Cross (on both ends of the blood drives).

I work at a local veterinary hospital. I am going to try really hard to not bring my work home with me as I already have a house full of 'fur-babies'.

I really think that we need to follow this 'new' command. We need to love one another regardless of our differences. Our differences are what make us special.

I love music! It really helps me relax. I like all kinds (almost). I have almost 2400 songs on my ipod. (that doesn't count all the other stuff on it)

I love Christian music especially Casting Crowns.

I also like country music and classic and 80s Rock) and I'm not overly crazy about rap/hip-hop.

What I read (when I get the chance)

• The Bible (I am working on trying to spend more time in HIS word, one way I’d like to do this is in getting “The Bible Experience..The Complete Bible”)

• Stephen King (I have most of his stuff through 2000, I haven’t had a chance to read/buy anything this century)

• Mark Mynheir (I’ve read his first 3 books so far)

• Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb (I have read a lot of her stories, but have lost track of what I have and haven’t read….I hate when they rerelease stories with different covers/names)

• Julie Garwood (haven’t read any new stuff since the Ransom)

• Ted Dekker (I’ve only read about half of his books, I just finished “Blessed Child”, I am looking forward to reading the sequel “A Man called Blessed” once I get my hands on it)

Cinema~

I love watching movies. I’ll watch just about anything. I really love horror movies~ good ones, bad ones, gory (sp?), stupid ones, you name it. I've been watching a bunch from Lionsgate lately. I love the idea of being scared-even though they rarely scare me. The movies usually wind up being really funny.
Do you know what does scares me? The news. Literally gives me nightmares.
Why??? It’s simple~ Horror movies are FAKE The news is REAL

TV~

(I’m looking forward to some of the new shows that will be starting soon) Days of Our Lives, NCIS, JAG, Friends, Mad About You, Quantum Leap, M * A * S * H, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, Bones, House, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Lifetime, History and Discovery Channels, I like watching TV with my girls (so lots of the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon shows): Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Camp Rock, Cheetah Girls, H2O, The Saddle Club, Wizards of Waverly Place, Drake & Josh.

I love watching NASCAR my favorite driver is Jimmie Johnson (and also the rest of the Hendrick Motorsports Racing Team)

As far as other sports go:

• REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE I'm trying to be more environment friendly. I try to reuse packaging. Also from time to time I may pass on something I received in a previous swap that isn't quite my thing or I no longer need. Please don't be offended if you find I've passed on something you've sent me, know that I did like it enough not to just throw it away.

People work hard to complete their swaps, and to not get something in turn isn't fair. Also, I work hard to make sure I complete my swaps (as most of us do) and that they go out by the send by date.
