I'm a professional costumer, and all around wacky person who hails from NYC. Craftsmanship is very important to me.

I like things that walk the edge between creepy and cute. I also love thoughtfully/carefully made hand-made objects. I'm interested in secrets and found items. My alter-ego is a mad scientist (I wear a lab coat at work when the air-conditioner is too strong), and love to hear how we live in the future (robotics, materials science, and biological discoveries).

I've been accused of being a goth despite the fact that I wear lots of bright colors and have an optomistic outlook on life. Maybe it's my coffin shaped pin-cushion? So if you send me something gothic or steampunk I'll probably like it.

I want to find out more about obscure subcultures. Are you a member or fan of one? I like reading Fruits, Zipper and Gothic Lolita Bible to keep up on crazy Japanese fashion.

  • a used copy of a magazine I like (Make, Real Simple, Martha Stewart, Threads, Bust) FYI: I already get Craft and Readymade
