Currently, I am knitting, and working, a lot. I'm teaching 1st and 4th grade art, as well as bartending (still) on the weekends. My husband recently got orders to go to school out of state for 5mos; I'm really apprehensive about him leaving! When he gets home (in JUNE!), we'll be moving to Louisiana. It'd be great to make some friends from that area, as I'll be leaving all my friends and family here!

Personally...

I'm a little punk rock, and a little Martha Stewart. I'm a 28yr old bartender, married to an Army soldier; we are a very patriotic family =] It seems I'm always in the car; I love to drive! I live in the Bay Area, California, but I drive to Oregon to go camping every summer. I am Christian, though probably the most tolerant person you'll ever meet. I'm acutely aware that I am the last person that shoud judge anyone else. My husband is a heathen atheist ;) lol I have a very twisted sense of humor; it is near-impossible to offend me (nudity/profanity is okay). I have guns, and enjoy recreational shooting. My desk is only for art & crafts; I love the freedom my Powerbook offers me.

Favorite Crafts

** I have taught myslef how to knit over the summer, and I pretty well obsessed with it now. Books on the topic would be great, and of course, I LOVE yarn! **

I have been sewing since I was 4 years old. I make a lot of clothes and toys for my kids.

I would love to get into needlefelting, but I don't have the $$ for it at the moment. Maybe next year! ;)

I make: Amigurumi; Softies; Jewelry; Kids' clothes; Hair barrettes; Felty pins; ATCs; Drawings; Paintings (acrylic & watercolor); T-Shirt reconstructions; Crochet (toys & fashion accessories); Collage; Embroidery; Hand-carved Rubber stamps; Origami; Inchies; Greeting cards; Zentangles, Pincushions

I use: Wool Felt; Quilting Cottons (FQs are my friend!); Jersey and Interlock; Beads; Sterling Silver; Buttons; Ribbon; Fibers; Lace; Yarn; Cardstock; Vellum; Printed and/or textured papers; Mulberry paper; Pilot Pens, Gel Pens, & Sharpies; Watercolor Pencils; Flower-head Pins; Embroidery Floss; Needles; Erasers, and eraser carving material; Stickers; Xacto knives

Comment: Thank you so much for the swap!! I LOVE the handcarved stamp!! and so jealous that you are doing it--I have wanted to try this for a while now. Great job. and the addition of the cards is a GREAT touch!! thanks and keep getting well! Jill
Response: Your replacement card (for the one I sent, but was lost) will be going out soon. I have been in the hospital, and then was on bedrest, and have just been cleared to drive (and STAND for more than 10mins at a time) since the surgery - I'm sorry, but I cannot help emergency surgery, or lost mail. Thanks for being patient, though!
