Computer time is limited for me during the holidays! If I forget to rate you, PLEASE feel free to drop me a note! Sometimes a swap package gets tucked in with all the gifts and cards that I have coming in lately.

Personally...

I'm a little punk rock, and a little Martha Stewart. I'm a 27yr old bartender, married to an Army soldier; we are a very patriotic family =] It seems I'm always in the car; I've put over 30,000mi on my SUV since buying it about 18mos ago. I live in the Bay Area, California, but I drive to Oregon to go camping every summer. I am Christian, though probably the most tolerant person you'll ever meet. I'm acutely aware that I am the last person that shoud judge anyone else. My husband is a heathen atheist ;) lol I have a very twisted sense of humor; it is near-impossible to offend me (nudity/profanity is okay). I have guns, and enjoy recreational shooting. My desk is only for art & crafts; I love the freedom my Powerbook offers me.

Favorite Crafts

I have been sewing since I was 4 years old. I keep busy sewing clothing, & toys for my kids.

I would love to get into needlefelting, but I don't have the $$ for it at the moment. Maybe next year! ;)

I make: Amigurumi; Softies; Jewelry; Kids' clothes; Hair barrettes; Felty pins; ATCs; Drawings; Paintings (acrylic & watercolor); T-Shirt reconstructions; Knit & Crochet (toys & fashion accessories); Quilts; Collage; Embroidery; Rubber stamps; Origami; Inchies; Greeting cards

I use: Wool Felt; Quilting Cottons (FQs are my friend!); Jersey and Interlock; Beads; Sterling Silver; Buttons; Ribbon; Fibers; Lace; Yarn; Cardstock; Vellum; Printed and/or textured papers; Mulberry paper; Pilot Pens, Gel Pens, & Sharpies; Watercolor Pencils; Flower-head Pins; Embroidery Floss; Erasers, and eraser carving material; Stickers; Xacto knives

Adore

.CHERRIES. .SKULLS. .POLKA DOTS. .TEA. .CHERRY RIPES.

Colors: Pink, Red; Color combos: red/black/white, pink/brown, aqua/charcoal, pink/green, red/aqua

Paisley; Giraffes & octopi; BBQing; Board games; Wine; Images of pistols/revolvers; scented candles (esp. spicy, warm, and holiday scents); essential oils

Avocados, dark chocolate; Myers lemons; smoked meats & cheeses; seafood

Patriotic items (I'm proud to be American!); U.S. and international Army stuff, such as stickers, clothing, keychains, prints/posters. Military & firearms history (I especially like Civil War history)

Cocktails, and new cocktail recipes; Macintosh; Video games; Fruits, and images of them; Post-Its; Sudoku; Fertility symbols

Fantasy stuff; gargoyles, dragons, fairies, fauns, castles, etc

Stars & Planets (my favorite is Jupiter)

Deplore

Pastels, excepting pink); Yellow, gold, earth tones, neon (this, of course, does not apply to collage-materials)

Bath stuffs (I only take showers)

Kawaii, excepting Kuromi and foods

Disney (Alice in Wonderland is awesome, though!)

Overly cutesy country-style items

Milk chocolate, white chocolate; I'm allergic to walnuts and pecans; fake sugars, such as Splenda, aspartame, etc; summer squash; sun-dried tomatoes, capers; artichockes (incl the hearts...I know, I'm crazy)

My Minions

I have two children, both born in March. My son is 8, and my daughter is 6. Isaac likes robots, outer space, chemistry/science, Legos, & aircraft; loves paper airplanes, makes rubberband balls. Ashley has just begun learning to read, so the level 1 reader books are REALLY appreciated here! She loves plush toys, dress-up costumes, animals, Hanna Montana, High School Musical, and making all sorts of arts & crafts (she especially loves making ATCs & inchies, so small glue-able embellishments are much appreciated). Ash does not like human-shaped dolls. They both love Star Wars, and we use bento boxes (and supplies) for their school lunches every day.

I have two [female] cats, Stormy & Halo, and they are as different as night and day. Stormy is your average lazy snuggle-up, can't get enough lap kinda cat; Halo is always on the move, always finding something new to play with, can't stand to be held. Stormy loves catnip; Halo does not - Halo prefers to eat up the roll of toilet tissue in the bathroom, or the plastic grocery bags on the kitchen floor :sigh:

Comment: Thanks so much for the cards. I love the beard! How did you do it? Tell your daughter thanks for me. It's a great technique.
Response: I'm so glad you like them! =] I forgot to take pictures of them, lol, but they were some of my favorites =] The beards are made by taking tiny squares of tissue paper, and putting the tip of a dull pencil in the middle, then twisting the paper around the pencil. Then, I pressed the tip of the pencil (with the paper still over it) into some glue on the paper. I had started to use white craft glue (you can see it on the Kate Hudson card), but I found that my permanent snail glue worked a lot better. After pressing the paper into the glue, I pulled out the pencil, and pressed the glued-down point of the paper into the glue a little better, just to make sure it really stuck. Hope that makes sense, lol; maybe I'll make a little pic tute and put it on my Flicker. I bet a snowman would look cute with that technique! =]
