My name is Liz, and I'm from Western NY. I am thrilled to find a place like swap-bot to share my crafty side and to see the creative sides of others. I'm excited to start swapping!

I'm 26 years old and work in healthcare, so not much squicks me. I have a cat named Basement Cat who is a tiny black bundle of energy.

I like to take my fun where I can find it and whenever I can. Laughter is the best medicine so we should take as much as we can!

I absolutely love to cross stitch, crochet, sew, embroider and make sculptures. I have recently been making small sculptures out of metal and found objects. I'm getting pretty good.

I am truly in awe of those who paint and draw. I think it is a beautiful process to watch, but unfortunately about the best I can do is stick figures.

I love to see any crafts from anyone, because I believe that art and craft are the most wonderful and therapeutic activities that a person can engage in.

I love old things, sparkly things, scary or odd things, and anything out of the ordinary. Steampunk is fascinating to me. Nothing makes me happier than to see something that resonates with the maker.

My favorite color is green, any shade of green. I also adore zombies and almost anything science fiction. My favorite animals are frogs toads and lizards. I also love my kitty, Basement Cat.

I don't dislike much except intolerance and hate. I don't get much into things that have a mean vibe about them, I prefer to keep things positive and fun. I love to laugh and can laugh at just about anything, so it's not easy to offend me.

I'm a huge fan of Dire Straits, Sting, U2, Barenaked Ladies, Rise Against and Bobby Darin. It's a little eclectic but I can listen to almost anything and enjoy it. I've not met much music I don't get along with. My favorite set of classical pieces is "The Planets" by Gustav Holst.

I'm not a huge fan of country or gangster rap, but I have an appreciation for them and will listen in small amounts.

My favorite books are The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I also enjoy Beatrix Potter's work and Grimm's Fairy Tales.

Cheesy science fiction is always fun, especially the Tek War series by William Shatner. Ghost stories by the old masters like Dickens and Bierce are another particular favorite.

I guess I've just read way too many books to really pick a lot of favorites, but I'll always give a book a chance.

I love cheesy horror films and comedies of just about any sort. The Monty Python films are some of the best I've ever seen, and I can quote them for days. The Alice in Wonderland movies are great, I have a thing for Alice related things, and any movie with steampunk appeal like Howl's Moving Castle or The City of Lost Children.

My all time favorite movie from when I was a kid was Lawrence of Arabia. I just fell in love with Peter O'Toole as Lawrence and I've always thought it was a fascinating story of how war effects people.
