I'm a mom to 2 boys, 2 girls, 3 inside cats, and an outside dog. I'm "Aunt Crystal" to anyone more than a decade younger than me and they are all my babies - even if they tower over me by a foot-and-a-half.

I'm a nerd, and I love books and words. I declared an English major in college (didn't finish, though). I'm your stereotypical Shakespeare-loving, dictionary-reading nerd.

I'm slightly techy/geeky, proud of my Irish heritage, and very, very tired.

Anglophile with a particular interest in Ireland and Irish culture (which I've just learned is termed Hibernophile). I use entirely too much British slang for being American... and I don't care.

I want a tattoo, but I'm too afraid of the pain and the permanence. I'd get a triskele on the inside of my left wrist in white or a brown a shade or two darker than my skin tone so it'd look like a birthmark.

I love to crochet, craft, read, and play Scrabble and Words With Friends. I enjoy giving gifts - that's why I joined Swap-bot. Nothing makes me happier as a swapper than when a partner is thrilled with what I sent.

I believe in Scouting. I think MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and Operation Christmas Child are incredibly awesome organizations.

I am Christian, and I respect your right to your own beliefs. I read profiles for religious preferences, and usually don't send anything religious unless you state that you are Christian. I like to learn about other religions. Please feel free to share your beliefs with me so I can get to know you more.

Coffee: I smell it, hubby drinks it. :)
I do drink tea, cider, and hot chocolate, and happily accept coffee to treat my hubby.
