I'm a graphic designer/illustrator from Melbourne. I have one lovely boyfriend, one gorgeous 2 year old boy and one fuzzy kitty. I have lived in england and one day hope to open my own diner complete with home made apple pie and damn good coffee. I have been told i'm 'eccentric' 'irreverant' and 'weird' but hey, i'm just me doin' my thang. i used to look like enid from ghost world but now i'm older, wiser and less two-dimensional. I love music - listening to, dancing to, singing to, being silly to, falling over to. I also love friends, strangers, autumn, staying up late, lists, lying on cool grass, one-offs, spontaneity, a bargain, great gigs, reminiscing, walking in the rain, waking up with a song in my head, foreign things & people, charity shops, nice surprises, fancy dress, messing about with paint, wallpaper, useless facts, candy stripes, my design heroes include: beatriz milhazes, david lachapelle, tord boontje, tim biskup, verner panton, airside, rinzen, pierre et gilles, I also love the ukulele, typography, rotoscoping, mid century design, kaleidascopes, the thoughts, feelings and actions of my little family
I try and re-use envelopes/boxes when i can, but please know that i ALWAYS ensure your parcel is packed carefully and will arrive intact.

i love music. so much so i have no words left to describe my love for it.

I'm dying to know how Prop 8 is turning out in California, too!
I think it has something to do with not pissing off any religions by holding elections on their "holy day." I honestly don't know the answer, though.
Every state gets to set its own rules, but when I voted here I found it very easy. I did early voting. It took a whole 10 minutes. It was on a little touch screen computer. We seriously need some standardization on how we vote. Plus, I really feel that election day should be a national holiday so you don't have to worry about trying to vote before work or during your lunch hour.
Texas as a whole is absolutely Republican, but my county is pretty 50/50. I was just watching the local ticker at the bottom of the TV and 51% of my county that has reported so far voted for Obama.
Do you have the option to do a write in candidate in Australia?
Yes! We're up to 102 electoral votes! Too bad my dumb state will give 34 votes to McCain!
Someone had said on the forum that in Australia you have to vote or you get fined. Is that right? If so, I am totally for that in the US.
