Mom told me to read the fine print. I missed this totally first time around. Well gonna have to make up for that.
Let's see where to begin. I live in the same town I was born in. In fact never moved out of the county. Hey that's almost 60 years.Married for 37 years to Ken. Graduated Indiana State University 10 years ago. Substitute teacher for all grades all subjects. We have 7 kids, 5 homemade and 2 storebought. We'll be first time grandparents in April. We have 2 kids still in college, 3 married, 1 special needs and 1 x-ray tech.I discovered swapping last fall.Great fun, no matter what.
Right now I'm heavily into knitting socks. Last summer I couldn't get enough purses knit to satisfy everyone. I love all colors except dark ones. Old eyes are different than young ones. It's true. I'm there. I really like things that are mindless, so that I can do other things at the same time. I'm not that old after all I guess. 5 years ago I was quilting so I have an unbelievable stash of fabric.
My kids are really great. However I should have had 27 to keep up with my sock knitting.Let's see that would be 58 feet And if they all were married it would be 112 feet and had 2 kids..Well maybe I had better quit while I'm ahead.
Just a little non knitting stuff. I started making fitted diapers for Matt over the weekend. In fact, Todd was so impressed that he took two back home with him Saturday. I'm using t-shirts and sheets and velcro. See I'm always learning.
We have a beautiful new grandson, Matthew Carleton Whitesell as of 4/10/08 Full head of hair and weighed in at 10 pounds and an ounce. First one!!They're coming home July 1, 2008. We've already been there twice but there's so much family that hasn't seen him. All I can say is that he ought to sleep real well.
I recently hosted my first swap-Quilted Fabric postcard.Fanfare!! I am so proud of the group. Not one no send.Aren't they terrific? I think so.Think I'll do it again.
If you go to my blog you can see a picture of the purse that wasn't that I received from my partner. Not one no send in the whole group! I'm so proud! Now if they would post pics.
The last swap I did Shabby Chic purse had 2 nosends. One of them was so enthused about the swap and then was suspended. Sometimes life happens but I for one would appreciate some warning. Kimh might be out there somewhere but not swapping. Then there is reachmichellee, whatever happened to her I haven't the foggiest, I do however wish them and theirs good health. Oh and watch out for chuckholes. They can throw you.

Sent out the calendar postcard, I hope it makes it! It's black and it did not occur to me that this might be a postal problem? Ah well. I was trying to be different. Good for you making diapers!!! And congrats on the babies.
Thank you so much for angeling the purse swap to me! I love my purse. I only wish I could give you a rating! It was very kind of you and I really love it! Ms. Coffeequuen caused quite a mess. I was reading your profile. I am such a knitter too. I think I saw someone before who said they are always playing with sticks and strings....we are in a great club! Many hearts to you! Cass
Your postcard for the 100 ft from my door swap is in the big blue box!

Hi I don't know if GrayDragon is coming back to assign partners for the "sticker odds and ends postcard swap" But if not here is a recreated one: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/22847
Please join! Thanks! -Stacey
I love knitting socks too!
The HPC would like to see your handmade postcards! Please read this thread in the forum for details!
Hi! I was wondering if you have any tracking on the brooche swap package you sent me on the 3rd... today is the 11th, and since we both live in the USA I would assume I should have recieved it by now.
I'm hoping it's not lost in the mail keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks!
Hi Brenda! It turns out you were the only one interested in the 2X magnified artwork swap, so instead of 3 partners, we'll just be sending to each other. Thanks for signing up!
I have started a discussion on the Handmade Postcard Club forum about the possibility of an interim group since the founder, @TeraBACat hasn't logged on in so long. I hope you will post your thoughts.
your 'i love my shirt' swap has been sent! postage time from australia is 1-3 weeks. Enjoy :)
